YAY on the harness.

can you send that ECU back?

some stuff I know from hanging out with the Washington State guys.......Josh (aka DEATHCOUGAR on here) is a great resource for TOYOTA parts @ www.nix99.com

second.....VITALY....aka VITAL22RE has done several of these swaps and in a pinch would probably be a good immediate resource for you.

Here's what comes up when i punch in the harness part number.

It doesn't specify auto or manual so i guess it is interchangable.

sweet piece by piece you are getting there, too bad about the ecu though, is there any way to alter it, or are you gonna be able to change it out?

I'll have to get a new one for a 98' 4Runner 4x4 manual trans as well as a new harness i believe...

Yeah i can return both, i'm just disappointed because finding another harness and ECU out of a 98' 4Runner 5spd 4x4 will be very hard.

did you call Josh?......even if you look at the Seattle area Craigslist there's a TON more Toyota stuff there than our area. did you use searchtempest?
