You will need to go to ARBs website and download the additional installation instructions for the 86-89 4Runners.
There are a couple other steps you need to take to install your bumper on a 1st gen 4runner..

I have the same bumper that you have and you have to remove the two upper bumper mounts that are on top of the front cross member...

I will see if I can get a link for you..

Its a freaking TOYOTA I think that's kinda a ricer, the point of coloring the calipers is so they stand out hence I think black would be counter productive, I like yellow or red.

For the calipers or valve cover? The calipers are already powdercoated black.

you'll need new driveshafts, too. that would be sweet, though. and what code is the trans?

Yeah the driveshaft thing isn't a huge deal, i'm sure i can find someone to make em. I have no idea what code the trans is, all i know is that it was out of a 1984 Pickup.

why would you want a 4sp? Are you buying it for just the t-case?

EDIT: wait 4speeds weren't put into 84s only 79-82, unless someone put it in there.

Not true, Toyota offered a 4spd into 1985 IIRC i know the second gen pickups had a 4spd as an option.
