Smart move, Brian, .....not sure if it was part of a plan, but people have MUCH less liquid assets at the moment.... SOOOOOOOO, taking a car that people think, "Yeah, ..uhhh,...I don't NEEEEEED that, and the mileage, ...not practical, ...yeah, NO", and trading it for one that TRUCK PEOPLE WILL BUY, good gas prices or bad, because a truck is ALWAYS practical....yeah, as said, "good move"!

Got a new toy today. (again no this is NOT the one you have been guessing about!!) She is a 1983 Toyota Celica 5spd, independent rear suspension, 22-RE. All FREE!! I have big plans for her!!
Stay Tuned!!
Now on to pics!

This has to be one of the most fun vehicles i've ever driven, the gearbox is fantastic and the lightweight-ness of the car combined with the 22-re is fantastic!!

duuuuuude! and only a month or so ago the early celicas were just "starting to grow on you".
i'm jealous those look like such fun cars.
an old lady down here had a nicely kept green one which i always keep an eye out for.
nice score!

My sister had that body style Celica GTS, ...it was GREAT! BUTTTTTT, my dad's 84 Cressida from Japan w/Japanese Straight 6 "Z" series motor WHOOPED IT! lol. Of course, those were real sleepers and hard to find. That Celica she had was a comfy car, new, too! Hers was the SAME COLOR, lol. Have fun

I'll need to talk to the guy who gave me the car since technically the motor is his, but i don't see why not.
