This week's mod/upgrade: New master cylinder install with a dual diaphragm booster off a 96 T-100. It's amazing how much the stopping power improved by only upgrading the booster.

The vacuum nipple off the booster exits at a different angle (slightly down). I found a heater hose at my local part store that had a 90 degree bend into a U. It makes for a perfect splice onto the factory hose.

Thanks! No V6 calipers. The booster is the only upgrade.

I picked up the booster for $40 at my local salvage yard. No part number. I cleaned and painted it.

Napa's site provides dimensions for boosters for each vehicle. I've been told 96+ T100 dual diaphragm boosters will fit as will 1st gen 4Runners with Turbo.

I'm still around. Been taking a breather from projects for a bit up until now. Front calipers and CV shafts are on the docket for this weekend.

I don't log in as much as I have in the past. Still have several other mods in the pipeline.

I'm back! Here are some pics of the CV axle replacement. What a mess - I think I went through 20 pairs of latex gloves. The boots were split wide open. The shafts had tons of play and the driver side shaft even fell apart coming out.

I replaced them with new (not rebuilt) shafts from Napa.

Here's the before pic of the driver side:

Here it is out:

Some after shots:

My next project is to replace my rusty heater pipes with stainless pipes from 22reperformance.com

I hear the intake side pipe is a b*tch to get to.

It took me a while but I learned tricks along the way. Could probably get it down to about 3 hrs per side now. The includes cleaning everything that came off and giving all the nuts and bolts a once over before reassembly.
