Yeah rigs come and go. Local sale or YT?
What you looking for? An 80 to v8 swap and chop the top off? If I had space for another rig that's what I'd most likely do

Well those are definitely the top choices right now, but i wouldn't mind an 85/efi to build. not to mention everything for them is cheap...

Back to the Future, eh? Nice... Oh, btw, I'm not crying, ... at all. hahahaha. It was fun to watch the build, but meh, there's ALWAYS something 'new' or 'better' out there to keep you interested. That 85 a 22RE? Or 22R? ALMOST see the side pillar marker... Usually two words is;

"Toyota"
..."EFI"...

Would be nice project... But wouldn't you miss the 'walk through' factor, man?

walk through factor?

I think it says EFI on it. I text the owner earlier, see what the scoop on it is. so i dont know yet. I like that this is cheap, and can be built into a capable rig for cheap. plus i've never owned a truck, or a solid axle... and i've been wanting both. haha

"Walk through"= SUV= The Ability to easily crawl up and back to the rear/front... Hand 'PASSENGERS' stuff... All VERY different things when getting a, well, basically 2 seater. I LOVED my pick ups... But after having 3 and then a 4Runner... never went back. Also loved the walk through factor and removable top... So while I WOULD LOVE to have one, JUST LIKE THAT, actually(been looking for a while)... IT WOULD ONLY be in addition to having a 1st Gen 4Runner, ya know? I am clearly just speaking for me, hahaha... It might not matter to you, I get that... Just that I have been at this proverbial fork in the road/decision time.... it can be nail biting! hahaha.

Some dude from Chico bought it. We'll probably never see it again unless he's on a forum. he text me yesterday to let me know everything was perfect on that truck. Glad he's happy with it. lol

Yeah Im not really the crawler type. Expedition all the way... which is why i really want a FJ80 or a 3rd gen 4Runner. If i felt like spending all my cash and not fixing up the mustang as well, i'd totally rock a 4th gen 4Runner lol

I checked into that 85 truck, its carbed.... no thanks. ( nothing wrong with the 22r and i know the conversion is easy )

You get your asking price? I was thinking when I saw it the price was high for a 2nd gen 4Runner.

Yep and he didn't want half the items i told him come with the truck. he only wanted the $300 IFS lift and the replacement dash w/ no cracks in it. So i got to keep both factory bumpers, front sway bar, extra set of rims, extra set of offroad hella lights, and a few other things. so I say i got a pretty good deal.

And yeah, I'd say it was a little on the high end for an IFS rig... which is why im pretty pleased with it
