for the front, im seriously considering running t-bar long travel until i have the money to coilover convert it. so If i bought the t-bars for now, and the control arms, and just did the conversion later. it would still be a sufficient build.

but for now, im thinking of buying the T-bars and cranking them slightly to make it so the rake in the back wont be as bad.

I hear ya...

I've come to the conclusion that, even with my Mega Travel Ball Joints, longer shocks, BJ spacers, I can't stuff the front AS MUCH(I know it will never stuff like SFA, but anyway, lol).... because even thought I've relaxed the T-bars.... they're not relaxed all the way, and while there, around 'mid way relaxed'..... the fronts will always stop around 3" or so from the front fender well. I can get them to 'level' with the crossmember, ...but that's it. (and no, the bump stops aren't hitting yet, nor are the shocks bottoming out).

Kind of a kick back day for me. researching more on the rear lift for the runner

Anyways, went to 4wheelparts and got me some Daystar Shackle Isolators. Nothing special... They're black ( red/blue looked kinda goofy )

Also looked at some air compressors. Should I go with a portable, or a stationary one? ( portable seems more usable, the Viair 400p pumps up to a 35" tire in minutes and its much cheaper )

Powertanks are cool, but they're about the same price as the Viair 400p... doesn't seem worth it to me :/

My buddy has had the same 3Gal. Pancake one from HF for 5 years, not a single issue.... and it airs him up pretty dang fast. 59$ right now on sale! lol. But yes, it's a 100# unit... Sounds like you're wanting to go BIG-O! lol. I've had this German one, 10Gal, for 20 years.... Still works, but 'bzzzzzzzzzzzzztt's out on me on occasions.. kinda freaks me out, lol. Harmann something. Anyway, .... I'm sure you'll get lots of advice from people who actually KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT, unlike me, hahahaha.

Let the prepping for Pismo begin!

1st order of business: is going to be getting the truck registered/smogged. ( ridiculously expensive because I put it off while the truck was in the shop for 4 months ) Needs to be done because you cant get into state parks unregistered as they will tow your vehicle on site.

2nd order of business: rear lift. ordering 901 coils, shocks, panhard, brake line, and an LSPV adjustment. and obviously installing it when i get it.

3rd order of business: No idea... probably pack up and WD-40 the crap out of the truck that way all the salt sticks to it and that way just sprays off when I go to the pressure washer.

Thanks for the links(not speaking for Mak, ....he may not like them, hahaha)... jk, anyway, ... he powered it with a 1200W inverter and he has Dual Battery set up with a battery isolator. He mounted the second battery in the Trunk area, which I found a lil SCARY dangerous? lol.... Then he switched to mounting it in the spare tire location, along with a lock box he mounted there. At least then, an exploding battery wouldn't likely blow acid all over everyone's face, eh?????? lol. His inverter is one that was made for his company..... some Japanese Co. made them for him and a few others.... Can't remember the name. Nakamichi or something?

i see. never knew an inverter could turn one on but i guess a smaller one wouldnt be much of an issue. not a bad idea to use an inverter plus hf compressor for oba. cheaper too

PISMO!! i cant wait. got my quad ready to GO. just need to pack as it gets closer. not sure if i wanna do a shower set up

Because i cant decide if its needed for this next trip...

I'll be going to pismo and loading up the truck pretty good, but when i get there I unpack. and i wont be lifting the front, so im kind of afraid of it stink bugging. I've seen lots of 4Runners with just 901 coils and a stock rear bumper and they look fine, so im thinking i might order it all today... Mine should level out nicely with that rear bumper on it

I saw one just like yours, somewhere on here, recently..... I was linked to it in another thread, cuz a guy wanted to show someone else how good 2nd gen rims and tires set ups can look with those redline rims+mt's..... ANYWAY, the guy is getting REALLY sick flex without an SAS.... I mean, it's PRETTY darn good, not scotty's sas'd 3rd gen good, but I was impressed, lol. Maybe you could see what set up he has? Not that you don't know what you want already, etc.,....I have no idea... Just didn't sound like it up there^^^ lol.

I think his name is LIVES4RUNNING or something? I'll try to find it.

Sorry Mak..... it is a 3rd Gen.... not sure it would help. I love the look of your 2nd gen, it's VERY unique, somehow, in my eyes. Anyway, here's the link, since I wasted your time maybe, lol>>>>

Dude, just order the lift, you'll be happy your not bottoming out all the time. You know it's gonna happen at one point or another at pismo. Just like you didn't mean to rip out your fender lining last time, but it still happened. What happens if you fly off another lip this trip and slam your rear tires up into the bumper, it could be very bad.
And so what if it's stink bugging a little bit, it doesn't hurt anything and it's only temporary. It'll give it some character.

Now I guess I gotta get a trasharoo too, since you all have one!
