Always good to see these gen 1 4 Runners given a new lease on life. I think it is also good to see people leaving the vehicle fairly original as well, a nice standard vehicle can be just as impressive as a modified one. You have some very nice ideas there as well, We don't have some of the things you are using in Australia, sometimes i wish we did.

Clive.

Great Job! I am doing the research for a mild build on my 1987 4runner. I like the peel and stick idea. I tossed a bunch from a siding job I did last year. Wish I still had it. Where did you get your gears? How much did you pay?

Thanks guys. Yes, I-90.

The peel and stick was cheap, but free would have been nice.

My gears were from craigslist. Had to buy them separately, $220 for the set.

And I have the motor to swap in, but it won't happen for another couple months.

And I guess I never added in the pics of the new rollbar speakers.

I've been slacking since I started parting out that other rig.

ok, well, going to do the "speaker delete mod" now that I have the rollbar speakers, I got some panels that are not cut for speakers and I will be swapping those in.

Also, found some door panels off of an 89, but they need serious work. gonna see if I can't make em work.

Thanks man. What updates you looking for? I have a set of 89 door panels I have been spending the last week refurbishing. Hoping to install Saturday. Check out pismojoe's "86 door panel swap" write up for the particulars. Yeah I know, I have been lazy. But the local guys have been getting picture text updates, so I guess I have been a little lazy with the updates. Sorry, I will get back on it.
