Thanks. I looked over the thread again.
Do you think they would work still if I cut some metal near the door?
My tires hit there sometimes tearing up sheet metal. This spring I am doing rust removal so want to trim. I'll need to get fender flares when I move though so can't get carried away.

I also picked up a nv4500 5 speed that I will hopefully get put in soon. I just cant keep the automatic from getting too hot out snow wheeling. The Auto is a blast, but I don't know what else to do to keep it cool.
I started working on a front cover for my dana 60
(and no I didn't take my axle out to do that, it is my brothers axle sitting in our shop)

holy cow sorry it took me so long to reply, I didn't see that you had posted a question. If you are wanting to cut near the door, this method won't really work for you because the flare goes past the edge of the fender right there by like an inch. It worked for me because I moved my axle back
Nice, I have considered moving mine back a bit too.

I got a couple action videos of my girlfriend using double low range to creep up a couple steep hill. The snow was horrible for wheeling. If the tires spun at all, it would break through the top crust and just sink down instead of going forward. This was at 2.5 psi in the tires. This was my girlfriends first wheeling trip and she did great. Oh ya and I lost a rear flare haha

It's been a while since an update so here ya go:
I pulled my transmission and transfercases because there were a couple oil leaks from them that were bothering me. While they are out, I rebuilt my doubler and made a new case for it that is slightly different and more simple. I made a new air shifter setup for the 241 crawl box and I ditched the cable shifters for np205 and went with air shifters on that as well. Each shift rail on the 205 has 2 air cylinders so I can still hit High, Nuetral, and Low. Now I will just have 3 toggle switches inside for my triple sticks . (Don't mind the mess of air lines. That was just set up for testing purposes.)
Also while I have the 4runner in the shop, I am putting in new carpet as well as new seats up front.
