Another junkyard score today! I found a jy with 3 second gen 4runners and low and behold, they had the correct grille for my 4runner! I've also been looking for a skidplate and found one as well! (And the chick didn't charge me for it!) Also got an owners manual and AC vent!

Also, earlier this week i ordered new headlight lenses and a relay harness off of ebay and made the switch to H4 bulbs!

New lens on the left, old halogen on the right:

Also took the time an drilled some holes like to get more airflow(Not the prettiest, but it gets the job done!) For the life of me i can't remember who did this first, but thanks for the idea!

Finished product, i put the aux lights on, but they aren't wired just yet, need to get bulbs for them as well. Name: photobucket-12135-1381098362355_zps2ac6f4dc.jpg

HOLY CRAP. The light output on these things is amazing compared to stock. I can actually see things now!

If anybody cares, this is the lens kit (comes with the bulbs) and the wiring harness i used.

Man these past few days have just not been in my favor.... Aside from the usual bs at work, i changed out my heater core (the PO bypassed the core when i got it, i assumed because it was leaking) So, i changed it out yesterday. Well i had to redo most of the hoses and after i tried burping the system for 30-45 mins, i took it for a drive. One of the hoses started leaking like a mother and my temp gauge started to spike. Never got in the red but got real close... Moral of the story- don't work in the dark. Gonna go to the junkyard again to see if i can find the molded hoses, as the heater hose from napa is not workin for me.

Went for a nice little vacation this past weekend, the 4runner handled very nicely, although halfway through the alternator started to go bad. MAde it back to the house thankfully. Oh, also got the heater hooked up and leak free (for the time being at least).

They are H3 bulbs, so i'm gonna get some 55w replacements. I'm think 12 gauge wiring should be fine with a relay and 10 amp fuse and a relay in-between .... sound okay? Trying to run two lights off of one wire.

Also ordered headlight relay kit, along with conversion headlights so i can make the switch to H4 bulbs!
Did you ever figure out what kind of lights these were? To me, they look just like Harbor Freight driving lights: http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...stem-3029.html

...also seen in this thread, post #19: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...-build-247133/

I didn't know if you found out yet. I just figured I'd let you know what you have

Sweet 'runner BTW!

EDIT: According to their site, the lights come with a 100w bulb.

Yeah, i figured they were some generic brand, i went to work one day and a jeep had the same ones on it!! Not too shabby for cheapo lights!

Thanks for the props fellas, its a work in progress like everything else

Also, does anyone have an idea on how i can route my wires or hide them better? The red sticks out like a sore thumb.

get some wire loom from autozone. it costs about 10 bucks for about 40 feet. (don't quote me on the length. it is black plastic that is cut in half the long way so you can easily run the wires into it. makes it look a lot better, and protects the wires as well
