Where did the exhaust flanges come from, i've only found them with the tube attached to them. Did they bolt right up to the toyota flange? Thanks.

yup. here's the link. they are a little larger, but the pipe diameter is the same and it has slots for easy adjustment

oh, and that tig weld ain't mine. a friend at school works at a performance racing euro car shop. his handy-work. he accidentally made it 6.5 inches, so he cut and re-welded it. still a pro job. i'll post pics of my welds (not nearly as nice, but still plenty strong) when i'm doing my platform

Coming along nicely Ian! The makeshift tranny fluid pump is ingenious! The final design on the platform looks killer, can't wait to see it all done

Hey Ian, I only mention that with a chill because EVERYONE in CA, at least, knows that TWEEKERS LOVE CAT's that are only bolted in..... it means they don't have to cut them out and make tons of noise! lol.

Even my exhaust shop said, .... "Dude, you're not using this flange, are ya? We'll weld it in with the rest for nothing extra.....don't want to give the tweekers any incentive to get it easier!" hahaha.

not really much more to see. the holidays get busy really fast for us, so i won't be doing a whole bunch. i might take a trip out to washington forest in search of good wheeling places, but that's still a "might"

hmmm... is this a problem?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ianrab/5225175859/
after 45 mins of ~55 mph with the occasional stop light, the needle barely moved
nothing else is wrong, no noises/smells/vibrations or anything. i've gone other times without this happening

looks like your temp sensor went out. There is no way your motor didn't heat up. Thats an easy fix. I would replace it.

i know, but $ome thing$ aren't nece$$ary. this is my daily driver, and i don't really need any 33 bfg at's right now. it already has 235's on it. my next mods will probably be some lights (on the brush guard and a light bar) along with the platform in the bed.
stay tuned!

Not sure what you mean by "fit kit?"
It is the q tower set up with extension and load warrior.
I would pull a temp sensor off a junk yard yota, sodder it in place of your old one and you are good to go. Would be much cheaper than buying one.

sorry, i meant q-clips. they're the parts that grip the door frame and the pads that press against the roof

q towers is the only description I have for those. Hope that helps.
I think if you go to Yakima's website and type in your rig it will give you info on a set up for it. If I remember correctly that's what I did.
