yea, probably going to just re-use the stock one for now (and probably reinforce it) , I gotta add on another part to my brackets to make the stock plate work. if it ends up catching on a lot of stuff i'll probably just build a thick ass plate that can withstand just about anything

action shots wont happen for a little bit yet, still a long list of things to do, but now that I started my new job, money isn't tight, time is

liking your build. rally cool.
i missed out on the tank, what veichle did the fuel tank come from, and are you worried about the structual integrity of the rear part of the frame, because the part cut out looks like it ties the frame togeather.

its the stock tank, just relocated.

not worried about the rear part of the frame, that bracket that was cut out is thin crap just to mount the spare tire under it.

the trailer hitch ties together the frame more than that bracket did.

I still dont have the filler neck hooked back up, it looks like I can make it work. i'll probably work on it this weekend

thanks, im thinking of doing the same with mine but i want to keep the stock one and add another one. my plan is to do more expidition style trips so im hoping to get my runner to go at least 1000km before i have to fill it up with 2 tanks should be possiable.

like the 4 link, when im ready to sas mine its something to think about. which pitman arm did you use?

I believe it came off of a mid 80's land cruiser, it has more drop to it than the stock one, and a little bit beefier.

I just walked around the yota bone yard until I found one that looked like what I wanted

the 4-link is a ton of work (and a little bit more $$$) than a leaf spring setup, but there is a reason why all the competition trucks are 4-link with coil overs.
