91 Toyota pickup 3.0 3vze

This Build I got my self into has been one thing after another, but that's the fun of it....... I guess,

Well anyway after I cut and ripped the bed off casue the bolts were all striped and rusted. I found this!




the fuel skid plate snaped all the bolts, luckly the fuel tank bolts came free.

the heads of the fuel pump are going to snap right off I can feel its not going to be good so im going to soak them for weeks!

Now My question is should I just buy a fuel Cell and put it in the back inbetween the roll bars, or get a used tank and pump?

if anyone has ran a fuel cell in your Toyota, whats the deal? the best way to go about it! and the products I should use when doing so, ive never ran a fuel cell except for my mini bike with a 1 gallon red tank! but that was Carbed.

since this is Fuel Injection Iwould like some advice and weigh my options.

also are 22re and 3vze gas tank and pumps the same?

 

having been down the gas tank road and the ole "1 thing after another" syndrome

I had bad luck with used tanks for my 89 reg cab.. I just got fed up bought a new one from rockauto. also the Fuel pump bracket and sending unit bracket on mine were rusted out and they were Dealer only parts. Hope my exp helps you in your decision, and if you go after a used tank, have lots of pics of your original tank IMO
