I'm building a drift truck out of my 89 pickup. I need more power obviously and I need a cheapish alternative to the 22re that I'm running... help me please!!

 

A LS1 would work well.

But seriously, "cheapish" means different to different people.

How much power do you want, what kind of fabrication,wiring, and tuning skills do you have, is it ONLY going to be a drift car, or are you going to daily drive it aswell?

I was thinkin about a 5mge swap. It should be relatively cheap and still have enough power to do what I want with some building. And yes a daily driver

 

supercharged 2rz. less work and less weight. better gas mileage too.
