Wow, that just STINKS! It happens... but sure sux when it does!

I sure hope you find that 'KILLER DEAL OF THE CENTURY', soon, William! I know we're all rooting for ya, seriously.... I'll keep my eyes open, but not sure how much that'd help... Lemme know if you want me to take a look?

Totally agree with William on that one haha. She's a beauty though!
Sometimes I wish I would have gone that route. Just buy a truck with everything already done on it, but that takes all the fun out of restoring these trucks. Not to mention 1 really doesn't know exactly what was put into the truck for sure or what problems mail I be need the beautiful condition of interior and exterior. I've already put in a lot of money into my truck with paying for the truck and rebuilding the motor etc etc... I'd have today she's well over $7k at this time. But I at least know I have a song motor for a long time and I know exactly what'sbending put into my truck.

I admire all the work you've done William. Coming along great.

Cyberhorn..Hope you are starting to feel better.

If anybody has an extra $15k, they could have the one that Mark posted and this one as well. http://nem1.net/images/88toyotaBlack/

I am almost there. Just got another $14,999 to save up. I just hope they are still listed 20 years from now when I have it all saved up.

Very sorry about the head, CtD. Believe me, I'd much rather sell it to you than put it on my truck. Like I said, if the head I'm pulling off is of any use to you at all, it's yours.

edt - hey, did you see this? https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f189...gan-ut-260710/ Says he's got a low-miles head...

2.5k for an 82 an its not done being repaired eeeehh no... but the way gas prices are it could become a decent price and the car if a fixable car unlike most of the new ones today designed if something breaks replace the car!
not rebuild the broken part
not replace the part
replace the car...

Yep, .... I know whatcha mean. I rebuilt my ex's 87 Camry Wagon/4Cyl, 2 TIMES over the life of it, lol....

She got it with 200K, around 2004.... I rebuilt it half way with new timing belt, HG, water pump, oil, valve job, etc.......

Around 2008, she'd put another 200k on it, hahaha... POOF, ran it out of oil after a "bottom out from hell"...

She just sold it with 568K miles on it for 1500$ hahahahaa.

Hey, how about this.....

the vans are ok engines can be a pita to work on due to where they are

that aside if you were to do a bit of sound deadening to her which was always one of the complaints they sound worse than a runner for tin can thonk as they close up it could catch a profit if ya find the right customer

Yeah, I know, regarding the supra... And I know those Straight 6 DOHC betty's... lol. Worked on my Cressida a bit. Anyway... Yeah, a Garrett, IF needed, would be around a few hundy, right? ..... Full Rebuild around 800$, if I do it myself at my buddies machine shop... Who knows how bad the interior is....... It can get expensive.. BUT, even right now, there's 2 87 Supras at just ONE of the yards new me.. The other yard has a couple as well. See, that's why I'd rather grab something I'm ready to retire with, like Grego(not LITERALLY retire... I just mean.. something I'd drive into my 60's, ya know? .... I mean, I get the feeling he'll NEVER sell that Camry).... So I'm thinking an 82-84 Supra Wagon, IF I'M LUCKY ENOUGH to find one! ... or, 82-90'???whatever Cressida, period. OR< LS 400, SC400(I could handle that coupe... cuz it's BIG for a Toyot..... I mean, LEXYota, lol)...
