I can't believe this thing hasn't sold yet, I keep seeing trucks that are not even close to being on the same level as this truck on craigslist for the same price, they ads don't stay up for long so they must be getting sold....good luck with the sale, eventually it will go to a good home.

Just a Q:
How would think of the newer MTR compared to the 37" you had on the green runner? I got 37" myself, and I'm thinking of 38x14,5x17 to the winter.
Which tire was the overall best? Like your, snowbashing is what my truck is used for as well.

Trust me, I hate to do this. If I could find a place to keep it that's not 1-2 hours away I would jump on it. The whole reason I live in the mountains is so I can hop in my rig and be on a trail in 15-20 minutes. Even if I found some place that was 45 min. away it would add 3 hours to my wheeling trip.

Thank you! I've been daily driving a built rig for close to 10 years, it's fun but your right.

I really like the new MTR's in the deep snow, they get good traction without digging too much. The outer lugs move/clear the snow, while the inner lugs keep the tire on the snow. I really think they are the best all around off-road/streetable tire I have found.

This is my friend Cory, he has the 40" MTR's. He fell into a tree well (the lower, soft snow under a tree) while backing up the trail. He was able to back out of this without winching or getting a pull.



This is how deep the snow was, there was a river at the bottom of the hole! Cory drove through it and I only needed a small pull.

 

And a couple pictures from my last trip out! I was not stuck, I kept driving for a while but the snow was too deep to get out of the truck and take pictures.





Here's a video from the lower sections of the trail where I could still get out of the truck.

 

Great snow pics. I got to do a little snow wheeling this year, but nothing like that. Im jealous. Looks like a lot of fun.

 

How was the snow wheeling with the low 4.7 case? Was there a big difference compared to having the double in the snow?

I bought them through Poly Performance, they are made by Gen-Right. I live in Silverthorne, about 2 miles from Frisco. Do you know the area?

 

no, don't know the place, but my sister has a place near Como and I'll be that way for Memorial holiday.

Gen Rite sells those louvers on 4WDParts also.

Some of my co workers think I'm nuts for taking my 4Runner with 237,xxx miles to Colorado on vacation. It's 1,000 miles (approx.) from Reno to Frisco.

 

I sold the Turbo 4Runner today. I will start a thread for the new 4Runner(with a link here) once it stops snowing long enough to take some pictures.

Hey love the build, ur bumper is wicked awesome. Hey kind of a random question, after putting a 5 inch lift with 35s, my front tires rub on the fire wall a little bit. Would 2inch wheel spacers help at all?
