Looks like you had a lot of, good looking truck too! Not very often you come across a girl working on her own rig. +1 on the roll bar, they looking pretty good in regular cab trucks. Makes it lot easier to run at night in the summer time when its too hot in the day to get out and ride. The heat is hard on the trucks!

I loved all of it! It was my first chance to actually test my truck out. I've played in some mud before now, but this time I got to mess around on a bunch of different terrain. Hopefully it'll happen again soon.

Well, the rollbar came out of a jeep so we had to mess with it a littke to fit it in my truck. Cut over a foot off the legs to even it down with the cab of my truck. Than welded plates to those, and it needs to be messed with a bit more to get it to fit right. The back legs are to high away from my wheel wells. But we just got it rigged up to see if I like it. Which I do!

However... it's red, so I'm going to paint it the same color green as the decals. Hopefully the brushguatd goes on soon too.

Also! My brother in law is teaching me to weld. I'm pumped! I'll have to get some pictures up for you guys. =]

P.s. I love tinkering with my truck, gives me a nice hobby and this way I'm learning about vehicles which is always good!

Sorry been super busy working up in the scrap yard!!

The Rollbar, what do you guys think? And the color it may be painted is green(decal color) or pink with seeds. Please gimmie some input!! P.s. That's my niece being freaking adorable!

This is a picture of the Melon next to a 90 Yota that came in as scrap. 200,000 miles, V6, rusty but trusty, needs a small fi and I may be buying her for 500. ;D it was around this time last year that I bought the Melon.

And I've put 10,000 miles on the truck since I bought her last year. It's been a good 10,000 miles!

I also got to mess with a scrap 87 yota, pulled mirrors, manual hubs, and than got my second tow hook! Hopefully another yota comes in as scrap and I can collect more parts. Working at a scrap yard is... AWESOME!!!

I like that idea!! My sister says if I do that, I'll have to paint the inside of my bed pink also Haha.

Also, buying my second Toyota tomorrow, or sometime this week. Seems like a for sure thing at this point. The Melon may be the DD, and The New one will get worked into a trail rig. I get about 17 MPG in the Melon right now with my mud tires, on the trip home she was getting close to 22. I also drive around the scrap yard and in town a lot when I'm back home. So hopefully with a few things, The Melon will be an acceptable DD. I'm pumped! Already have a bumper to throw on the new truck, and some big plans for it. Maybe I'll make a build =]

Cheers!

As of today I officially own two Yotas. Here's a better picture of the new one.

The passenger side door is a little funked up, which annoys me because we just had a like 93 with a nice passenger side door and I didn't even think to take it off and throw in the Red Yota. Baaah

Also work at the yard rocks! I get to mess with yotas and pull parts off them for free Just pulled side mirrors off a 93, and an 87, and pulled a cluster like what the melon has. No charge. Than got my second tow hook for the Melon need another one for the red Yota though

Also rocking a set of 33s on the red Yota, one is mixmatched, and one is a little bulged and I shouldn't run them on the road, but if I stick to offroad, it'll be alright. Can't beat the fact they were free either. Soooo. I should probably make a new build for the red Yota, since it's being turned into the trail rig while The Melon gets pushed more towards DD.

Also hopefully doing a bit of maintenance to the Melon soon. Been making good money at the yard so finally can save a bit to put towards the truck. Yay! I hope I have a better update for you guys later!

If you ever see a set of Aisin hubs in decent shape, send them my way

I have one good Aisin Hub, the other one my coworker busted up =[ And I didn't pull any of the other Yotas I've seen. But I'll keep you in mind. =]

And the Red Yota is getting love today, trying to get it good to go for a Thursday wheeling trip with some family/long time friends. Well Thursday evening, camping that night, and Friday wheeling. =] Fun fun!

ALSO, this past weekend I went to Trucks Gone Wild, which was amazing!!! Lots of great trucks!

Cut the exhaust off behind the muffler, so the truck sounds a little.. fierce. Got a K&N filter, FINALLY. Then also got my brushguard on, painted the same color as my decals. Also got the driver's side decal done!!

Totally flexed. This was during a group photo at TGW

Part of the group shot.

Someone took a picture of me playing in the pit.

I was one of the smallest trucks. hehe.

Me and my younger sister after a mud fight.. My face looks... loopsided because of the mud on it. haha. Oh well. =]

This is my Brother-in-law's truck "Blue Cheese"(it did have a yellow rollbar and brushguard), he thought some mud/water wasn't as deep. =P It's a GMC, running 38 swampers =]

On the lift.

Enjoy! Hopefully I can have more updates about things happening hehe.

I got her by surprise. ;D

Actually she just turned 16 this past March, and as a birthday present she got my old car. I think there are pictures on page one or two. HOWEVER, I think I got her hooked. My mom says she's not allowed to wheel with me, but like a good older sister, I've been taking her along. She already starts noticing nice trucks, and points out Yotas. She also chooses to ride in my truck despite having the option to ride in a few other wheeling rigs. She is talking about getting a truck in a few years, but I think she wants an automatic. She stalls my truck sometimes, and hasn't quite mastered the whole stick shift. I think if she could drive it a bit more she'd fall in love, so hopefully I can keep working on her..

Bad news, either engine rebuild or engine swap for the red yota. So that'll keep me busy. It's turned out to be a bit more of. Project truck than I wanted... but should be a great learning experience! I really need to make a build thread for it.

Yup. It was a tight squeeze, but we could have made it. The guy I let drive is pretty upset with himself, and I -might- have done something similar had I been driving. So it is what it is, but it's now the main reason no one but me is driving my truck offroad again. Haha.

Did he kill the mirror too?

BTW, your truck does look rather small in the group pic from TGW.

Nope! The mirror folded in, plus I have a set of spare mirrors I pulled off a yota at work.=]

Yeah, mine folds in also. I had visions of the mirror being ripped of as he may have backed up trying to get out of the jam. A spare set is not a bad idea.
