Gotcha, what's your DD now? =P

And boooo, run trails, run trails! Hehe. Build it, lift it to the sky, throw huge tires on it. Just teasing. It's nice to have a vehicle to to play around with, and haul stuff with.

OH, Saturday is my birthday, and the Vice President of local 4x4 club back home also shares the same birthday, and he's having a trail riding thing for his birthday. So I'll probably be out running around causing a ruckus with a bunch of other people. Should be a pretty good birthday. =P

That's the link to the 4x4 club, they are mostly into mud bogging it seems though. Trucks Gone Wild is coming to a local offroad park right after the fourth, and people are going to be rolling on tractor tires and stuff. Should be a fun event. =P

An '09 Corolla that my folks bought for my dad and then he was unable to drive due to medical issues. Nothing fancy, but the 38-40mpg on the highway and 32 around town is sweet.

What???? Your b-day is 6/16...mine too!! Except, I have you beat by ,ohhhhh, a few years lets say. Parents 48th wedding anniv. was yesterday, my b-day, and father's day so I'll spend time with family....they live about a 100 miles away. It will be good.

Yeah, I wish I had a car better on gas than my truck, but I love driving my truck around. hehe. And bummer on your dad being able to drive it around anymore. =[

Crazy, I know a lot of people who share my birthday. =P I'll be 22 this year, I'd say I feel old, but if you bought your 95 brand new, I'm sure you got more than a few years on me. ;D

I hope you have a blast with the family! I'm just excited to be going home, I did have plans to go hiking with my dog, but with the wheeling happening, I guess the dog will just come for a ride with me on my birthday. haha. =]

Same age as my dad. =P Haha. Pff, all that matters is how you feel inside. =P

And dang, poor guy. My one grandfather is up to five heartattacks. Bad, but strokes are bad on a whole different scale. I'd say I'd go read it on Chef's build, but that sounds odd, if you know what I mean. =P But I probably will read it. =P I've skimmed over his build a few times, but there is just... so much. haha.

Haha. You are exactly right....it's how you feel inside and, importantly, take care of yourself when younger that makes is so the later years are just as much fun and rewarding. The forum is a great leveler of age.....just a bunch of folks helping each other out on the ole Yotas.

Yes, Chef's thread is voluminous....with lots of good stuff in there both on the Yota and life, in general.

BTW, I think there are only 3 of you gals on here actively doing your own work. You, Habanero, and Kitty's 4Runner.....

Yup, so hopefully you are still young at heart. Hehe. Sadly, when your young you don't often think about how stuff is going to be later in life. All you can think is, I'm going to feel like this forever! And so you go about your merry business. Hehe. Also yeah, I really like Yotatech, nice little community. I was going to drop by and meet John4wd, but I think I'm leaving out from TN tonight, and driving through the night. Less traffic to deal with, and eh for fun. Plus I'm taking my younger brother with me, and he can sleep the whole ride, without annoying me to much. He's only 13.

Chef seems like a pretty nice guy, and helpful. That's one of the great thing about builds, you'll never know what kind of goodies await on the inside. Hehe

And really? Wow. I may not know a lot, but I try my best! Learning everyday. Kitty has a nice build, Hab's I haven't looked at though. =/

Yes, active physically, mentally, and young at heart for sure. Ah, a weeks vacation feels good this week too.

Hab has put an index of the 4Runner related things on the first post or two. Hers diverges too... we wonder off into garden talk every now and then.

Keep learning, keep sharing, keep smiling. Again, safe travels to you.

Than my road tires, and a picture of the painted decal.
I still don't see the reason for changing the tires when traveling long distances...

Been a busy few days, left Wednesday afternoon at like seven, drove through the night, got in around ten in the morning. Visited family/friends, so I was up for far to long. Than I worked Friday up at my brother-in-law's scrap yard. Saturday was my birthday and I went out wheeling with a good group of people. I left the house at 8:30 that morning and didn't get home till like seven that night. So I was busy. Although a bit of it was just travel time. Lots of pictures were taken, I was the only yota there. Two jeeps, two Chevy's, one gmc, than my yota. But I'm waiting on everyone to post them up and I'll add them here.

Got stuck twice, truck got a little warm twice, than my clutch got so hot I had to drive without one for awhile till I hit some water and it cooled everything down enough to drive. But really great day. Had a blast.

And on the tires, gas mileage and noise. I drove close to 800 miles for that trip. Than that's 800 miles of strictly travel I'm not putting on my mud tires, which is worth it to me. Since I know I'm not going to offroad in that time frame I'm traveling.

Hopefully I'll get pictures up of the birthday wheeling, than me and my brother in law are taking about getting my brushguard on, new rear bumper, and a rollbar. So hopefully that stuff happens here soon and I'll have actual progress to show!

+1 for rollbar! If you don't want it, I'll take it as long as it doesn't have a mushroom style hoop. I wanted and found one just like the one matt92yota has in his truck. See post 55: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...45/index3.html. By the time I contacted the seller, it was already gone

Thanks you guys, and yup. It does help with gas mileage especially on those long trips like that.

Thanks JeepKilla99, that's my goal have it be one of a kind. How many people drive a yota that is watermelon themed? hehe.

And I'll have to take pictures of the roll bar, I might go mock it up in my truck and see what I think of it.

ALSO PICTURES!!!

Everyone together. A Jimmy, The melon, two Chevy's, and than two jeeps.

At The House before heading out.

Rocks!! This was super fun!

The driver's side of my truck's decal isn't done.... So hush. Also this was awesome. =P

Looking like an idiot in this one. hehe

Some mud. =]

Lost my clutch before this hole was going clutch less. They think it was just because of either air, or being hot. I got my clutch back after doing this hole. =]

yeah, no yota in this picture. =P

Got stuck in this spot twice, and got through the third time around. =P

Stuck!

Getting the strap out. =P hehe

Love this picture!

After I made it through the third time!

Some water we went through close to the end. No pictures of me going through it though.

And to be fair, I'll post a picture of the other guys. The Jimmy

Chevy

Jeep! This was actually a pretty cool jeep. =]

Other Jeep.

Other Chevy.

Over all a fantastic day! I have pictures of the other guys, but I figured I'd spare you guys. Since this is my build thread, for a YOTA! hehe. At one point everyone was stuck but me, and they were able to get out by winching off each other, but it was pretty crazy. hehe. I had a blast. Hopefully this wasn't picture overload. ;D

So so dirty. haha. But that's okay, just means I'll have to take a day to wash the truck really good inside and out. It'll be good for me. Hehe.

I have some more pictures I'll have to show you guys later. For now I'm going to retire for the night, I'm tired, worked all day at the scrap yard. =P

Cheers you guys! =]
