The smaller tires are on the rear. My step dad is decent friends with a local place that does tires. Prob can get a used set with a little beef. Lots of older people who got money replace em early

So 4wd is a no go?
Also in response to the fuel gauge... Mine is always full til bout the last 50 of the tank.....just use my odometer and when ya getting close to 300 its time to fill up.

Wish me luck on that inspection haha!

Hey bubba.....

Think of it this way.....

* You have 2 rigs DOING SAME SPEED, 12 MPH going down a trail, one is in 1st gear, the other in 2nd...... Lets say the one in second is in front.......

NOW: tie those rigs together tight at the bumpers....... What will occur? THE ONE IN THE REAR WILL BE AT 3K RPM AS THE GO, the obe in front at 1500 RPM. Might even cause the rear one to start dirt-chirping as the front one in 2nd speeds up.

I only mention that one as a means to try and poorly explain how one tire needs 4.88 gears, nearly, to be at speedo accuracy.... the other, with 31's needs 4.56 gears. More importantly, to show that when in 4wd, the different sizes: the smaller tire will turn more revolutions with ur 4.10s than the larger tire with 4.10s... Make sense? Smaller tire on the same rig turns more revolutions in t hg e same distance, in other means of looking at it?

i had good luck using carb cleaner on the float slide which is a variable potentiometer it was gummy from years of gas an additives youd have to pull the float an pump outa the tank an then clean it good time to replace the pump sock as well

you'll know it works when you slide it up an down an the gauge responds with it it took three sprays an sliding it up an down to clean it

an wishin best luck on the inspection!

Well went to get my inspection today.... Rejected:/

But hey, it wasn't anything unexpected. I need a muffler and a tailpipe, which I was assuming, but some said it might pass figured it was worth a try. Haha the other thing I need, yeah it's a killer lol, I need bolts holding my license plate on and not zip ties haha. So to me, neither one of those is really that bad, specially the plate bolts.

In other news.... Saturday, I ordered a autozone power steering pump rebuild kit, power steering pump bearing from toyota, and gasket set from toyota in case autozone's kit was lacking something.

Hopefully work on that power steering pump this week...I'll be flushing my power steering also due to my putting of power steering fluid when I should have used ATF fluid, thanks chef!

I can drive the truck for 2 weeks with the rejected sticker but plan on getting it fixed ASAP! Hmmmm thinking of whether putting a stock muffler or a flowmaster 40? I don't mind a little noise(Probably cause I'm young)...I mean I have some as it is with my tailpipe rusted off. The plan is to run a nice exhaust, from the headers all the way back(within next few years), but this is just to pass inspection really.

Also I see where a lot of people are running 2 1/4 on the 22re's, could I do it on my 22r, I never see where people seem to do that. Anyone seen someone running a good exhaust setup on the 22r, point me to their thread, I don't mind reading, I just can't read everyone's threads and feel that some of you may know of a thread I don't.

Thanks all

Exhaust size will be the same between injected and carburated, it's based off displacement. If you plan on redoing it just go with whatever is cost effective. They sound pretty sweet with straight/open exhaust, I could go that route out here but I'd probably get tired of it or get pulled over for noise violations in the snobbish areas in the city.

Stock size..

I don't recall where this chart is from, but I have seen it's origin site atleast once..

I have an idea though you could always run dual 1 1/2" pipes and be good for up to 150hp and everyone would be happy with your choice of 1 1/2. lol.The factory exhaust joins 2 pipes into a collector before the cat.It would be easy to just cut the collector and run 2 pipes back for a dual exhaust 4 cylinder.
Hmm dual pipes, isn't there a R-series exhaust manifold with the 02 located in the engine bay. Could get me some side pipes on my little 2wheeler, hah but the tube underneith would probably be scraping the ground.

WTH zipties are totally permanent attachments, plastic hating snobs! The DMV here has a vending machine for plate attachments, but it's always empty or out of order. I got mine at the local hardware store.

i plan on 2" unless the 2 1/4" is cheaper at a muffler shop also going to have them install a pipe an flanges for a cat (cut at 17") JUST in case the state decides we all have to do inspection right now only Boise has to have it

right now my O2 sensor is UNDER my seat on the floor i can ONLY imagine what the PO was thinking

Yeah I mean zipties are rather durable in my eyes, I mean they hold more grill secure

Well that's a new spot for a O2 sensor haha

I think for now I'm just gonna get a stock muffler and tailpipe and when this one kicks the bucket(prob 5 years or so) I'll upgrade to 2 1/4 with headers and hi flow cat and all that fancy stuff!

Haha yeah, I'm sure its doable have pipe from headers to cat.....have the cat separate....then from cat to muffler pipe....then muffler....then tailpipe haha just be some extra work.

Man he had the thing on wheels so he could move it around the garage.....even on those I hopped in it and it felt like a lowrider, it was like time to sit on the ground! Kind of felt like getting in a cockpit, funny thing was he just randomly asked me while my step dad was test driving if I wanted to sit in it....Thought I'd be stupid if I didn't haha wish I got a pic in it though.

hey you got the outside those cars are something if they could solve the battery weight to power ratio electric could really take off imagine retrofiting an electric motor onto the belhousing of your truck removing all the other stuff an filling the engine bay with some kind of batterypack an then the fuel tank another battery cell
an electric motor with more horsepower than our 4 cyls is smaller an lighter than the 22re its all in the battery weight
