Headers are on.....got everything put back together except for the power steering pump and AC Compressor. I will get that back together tomorrow, Y-pipe and the rest installed....should be no more than a couple of hours left!

sounds good, cept the quality sucks haha. sure it sounds MUCH better in person.

 

nice, how much did the motor swap cost in the end. if you don't mind me asking..

i have a chance to pick up a pristine '93 4runner and it has a.. wait for it.. blown HG... go figure.

 

The motor was $1850....I had a $300 core charge but you would pay about $150 to ship it back and as you can see from the pictures my motor was not fit for sending back. I spent about $1,000 fixing pecker tracks so I am about $2,750 in it but I literally went through everything.

(everything includes rebuilt starter & alternator, radiator, belts & hoses, water pump, oil pump, timing set (with new tensioner), oil pickup tube, etc.) There were allot of broken & missing parts that I pulled from junk yards.

In addition, I have about $1,300 in the exhaust......so counting the $2,000 I paid for the truck, I have about $5.31 a mile in it right now. I could have taken a cab!

I have right at $1,300 in the exhaust from the heads to the tip not counting my wrenching time....all LC Engineering. I like it so far, I hope to get plenty of miles out of it!

 

wow. yea i put 4 hundo into mine and it doesnt sound nearly as good as that haha i guess you get what you pay for huh? nice job tho

 

the exhaust sounds great, I bet getting rid of that factory crossover pipe really woke the engine up! How does the driver seat dyno like it?

 

I like it...it feels peppier and does not make me as worried about pulling into traffic....if nothing else, it definitely sounds faster!
