Thanks Chef ……My job is hot weather vehicle testing so as soon as the temps go up my life goes on hold. I have a 91 SR5 4Runner that I got from my sister it has a burned #6 exhaust valve this thing never saw the dirt except when I barrow it to go hunting other than the valve it is in great shape. I have all the parts to rebuild the motor except the pistons and bearings (don’t know what size yet) I don’t want to start it until my truck is done oh and no time. When it gets hot it becomes my DD great A/C oh and it’s been running on 5 cylinders for 3 years and I get 15.5 @55mph so I just need more time.
I have a favorite saying (if I have the time I don’t have the money if I have the money I don’t have the time) more to come in a couple of mouths.

Not good pics but you get the idea

Your gas tank looks really good, it will be nice to have the peace of mind that your entire fuel system is new! Nice score on the 91' runner! Look forward to seeing more of both your yotas'!

The filter is small, as said.... But you can get one that's nearly double the capacity/filtering element for the same price at Toyota(yes, should use OEM filters/great stop valve in em).... and there's a thread on this/or it's mentioned in a thread that I'm scribed to...Hmmm.. Try searching for 'larger filter' or something, .... I'm pretty sure it's a thread on here, too, Chuck

PS> I think it was like an MR2 or V6 filter or something... Obviously it's a Toyota, hahaha.

Well once again the temps are below 100 degrees and work has slowed down so I’m back at it I have the new tank in all the fuel lines are flushed from the front to the back and new filters installed. I installed a Powermaster 140amp GM Alt with a Trail-Gear bracket, Trail-Gear did a nice job with this bracket it just bolted on and the stock belt fit.
I will be using a three wire connection so my charge light will work this is where I got the info http://www.rocketcityrockcrawlers.com/tech_articles.htm good stuff I use the same alt as in the article.

I also pickup a Inchworm Gear auto trans to gear driven Tcase adapter so I can lose the hydraulic Tcase so now I just have to decided if I want to go single or double Tcases I have to have the drive shafts made one way or the other so any input on the drivability of dual Tcases would be welcome thanks in advanced Tom

Tom, you're going CRAZY BA on this thing! hahaha.... Nice work so far, man.

I just recently picked up a nearly new 120A 91 Caddy 4.5L V8 Alternator at Pickyourpart on 50% off day for 10$ hahaha... BUT, it looks as if the brackets they make are for the good ole 140A GM beasts...

I got the connector with it, too......... BUT, again, I'm not sure what's involved just yet.. so I'll read more, but THAT GUYS WRITE UP IS GREAT on that link you posted! Just read the whole thing! lol.

No clue on the Dual Cases... experience wise.. BUT ....... Irab88 has them now on an R151F Turbo Trans.... He seems to LOVE the set up. I think he said he's getting better mileage too.. but isn't sure how much is the trans, etc. Check out his build, he's written up lots on it.. BUT, he just moved into his first home... So I've not seen him throwing posts up as much lately.

best wishes, man... KILL IT!

Mark, the trail-gear bracket was designed around the cs-130 http://www.trail-gear.com/pdf/120120-1-k.pdf so the one you have may be fine, below is a quote from the Jegs site maybe this will help I used the GM 12 SI so there are many alts that will work in this bracket hope this helps.

(GM has offered several series of alternators over the years, each time taking a step up in performance. The great thing about these alternators and aftermarket brackets is that for the most part they are interchangeable. Starting with the externally regulated 10dn alternator of the 1960s and moving all the way to the CS130D alternator of late, aftermarket brackets with rod end tensioners will interchange. The 2" mounting foot width is common to all of them and the 6.61" bolt spacing is common (except the CS130D has 7.24" bolt spacing, which many brackets accommodate).
