It was so long ago. I don't remember anymore. I think you can put in in either place. You decide if you want more droop or more upper travel. Put on upper if you want more droop and put on lower if you want more up travel.

You MOST DEFINITELY were and are, Anthony! Bless you and yours, homie! Lemme know if you need help... I'm often very busy, but if I can, I WILL help with some heavier stuff you wanna try without risking the young'ns toes or something, k? hahaha. Also, I wanna seeeeeeeeeee that thing come together when I can..... IN PERSON, lol. I have a plan that I wont share just yet, as it's just a thought, ...at this point ....but it sure would help to see your smart self getting those 'tricky parts' dun right!

PS> NO, I don't plan to try a 3.4 swap into my 22re carcass! lol.

That difference in shock length has to make a difference. I hear you on the ride, the older I get, the smoother I want. Never would of noticed a bouncing ride in my younger days.

I had a set of the BFGs you have and they were a great tire for me and lasted for quite way beyond their life expectancy, really like them. I just went to 31s and they ride real nice. I dont know if it just be 31s over stock tire size, but what a difference.

Just seen a full pic of your truck on another thread just a moment ago. Your truck just keeps looking better.

Thanks, Terry!

Yeah, I love the 31 BFG AT's. I know, they get a bum rap on wheeling capabilities, etc., from SOME, ...but personally, I drove my last ones 110K and then sold them with 30% tread on em still! lol. Secondly, they wheeled JUST FINE when I wheeled the rig properly and didn't get in a hurry, etc. OF COURSE they're not as capable in some circumstances as some KM2's or something, ... but for the price, ride quality, quiet, mileage difference, and longevity? For my "Mostly DD", I'm sticking with these for now. (Plus......they look nice anyway! lol)

Far as the shocks, ...amazing difference. Of course, I have to factor in all the suspension work I did..... I'm SURE all new BJ's, Control Arm Bushings, etc., make for a lillllllllllll bit nicer ride quality as well, right? hahaha. But yes, ...SHOCKS ARE SO CRUCIAL! I actually drove a Hard Suspension(coil, no shocks) Mack Truck for a Summer, 28Ft. ...OMGOSH! 110Frwy in that thing, without a load especially????????? HOLY CRAPOLI, that was the most nauseating ride, EVER! lol.

I am supposed to leave Tues. for AZ.... but my daughter is going with her hubby2b a lil later. That's a pick up, so that wont work for 3.... Plus, I need more break in time and I wanna wheel on the shores of the Colorado River, ya knowsit? lol. I'm trying to get my inverter figured out,....but seeing as they wont be going with me most likely?>>> Probably will hold off on that, ya know? I have other things I could get done.

Man, WHAT A GORGEOUS DAY!!!! Days like today make me wish SO BADLY that I had a nice, beautiful canback! lol.

Not sure if I'll have time today, but I DO wanna get these in and secured, cleanly, before I leave. I might be on the shore for a few hours and wanting my laptop for certain things.... so here's some of the stuff I have......

The PEAK inverter was the one I mentioned was 5$ from July 17-24, 2011! Just sent the rebate form today. So, seeing as I already had the other one(750W/1500W) one..... I will use the 400W for the back seat area(just wanna keep it 'midway' ya know?), somewhat like RBX did. I will use the 750W one for going right off the battery, for certain electric tools and compressor, etc. (Both will technically be 'off the battery', but you know what I mean, lol)

The 4G wire, well, I chose that cuz it's not much more than other high temp wires without any connectors.... and I can just cut the battery terminal connector off, adjust it to length I want, then run my light stuff's, antenna, inverter all to the junction box in the pic. I know it's not a bus bar like Ian and others did... Hopefully I can get to that, but it looks to be really good quality and has 1- 4G "inlet" and 4- 'up to 8g' outlets... That's plenty for my applications, seeing I don't have electric fan, etc., .....FOR NOW, lol.

Can't start on anything, if at all today, until this evening. But I thought I'd share what's up.....Any thoughts, please share!

Glad to see you got the shock issue fixed for now. After seeing the difference in those shocks I'm amazed you even got those ones in there. I'll be interested to see your review on the OME's when you get the right ones installed, especially now that you can compare them to worn out factory, and also Anthony's shocks. Cheers!

Hey guys, THANKS!

I stopped by Charlie Cools on the run today...... Last Can of Oil Charge is in..... running cool from what I can tell and he said, "You're good to go, air on the whole way through the desert in this rig.... good lord it's like new! Sounds GREAT, too.... be safe, Mark!" And once again, wouldn't let me give him a thing! That meant a lot from Him..... SERIOUSLY! He's a Classic and Import Guru! lol.

He even asked to ride in it, so we did, and he was really impressed with the ride from the last time compared to now with the other shocks on!

Then I ran my rump off all day to get set up 'ahead' for them and so forth, my errands for the trip as well, ...and I wanted to just show really quick that I'd fixed my main ground. It was here>>>

I KNOW, I KNOW! LOL.... I needed an extra bolt to put it in the block.... which I did, and it's now good to go>>>

Looks better, right? hahaha.

Next, I took a couple shots with the truck loaded up VERY heavy in the rear with all my gear, tons of food, etc., for the trip.(I'ma surprise them and bring all my own and my daughters and fiances food and food for everyone for the whole time! ) It broke me, but it was my HONOR, and, well, they're hurting, as is all of Havasu and, well, MANY seniors in general right now! Not boasting on that,....just psyched to pull up and yoink all this stuff out and see the look on their faces! hahaha. This way, also, we don't have to shop!!! Got the 150quart Cooler loaded, tons of cooking gear(she doesn't have hardly anything I LIKE/NEED to do things right, ya know?).

So; Here's the rig with around 600# of stuff in it in the very back.... I LOVE THESE ZUK'S WHEN I NEED EM! >>>>>

OH< and I put the skid plate back on! Not a drop other than the rear of the trans a lil!

Hope everything goes safely on the way out there!

I'll check in!

Chef, long time no talk, your rig is looking great. Your truck is now ready for battle along with the rest of the battle trucks.
