Hey Toyo, ......

Sorry for the delayed response! Been TOTALLY overwhelmed, but still grateful! lol

I finally decided to go with the Scion TC seats... picked them up for 100$ for the pair, today, in nearly perfect shape.(just need to shampoo them, ...they're dusty pretty good, lol.

I will post pics tomorrow, and more info. Thanks a lot, guys!

PS> Wabbit is right.... "Why not just find the most comfy ones and make em work?".... It'll take some work, but they WILL work! I have the other seats up for sale, 150$ for the Maxima Leathers and 80$ for the Camry Cushy's, lol.

Wow, T4R envy? hahahaha. I think they should come up with yet another pill for that, especially as many of us as there are, out there! lol. Yotatech is full of people who need the T4R-OCD-Pill! hahaha. Jk, your rig is ALREADY sick, and going to SURELY surpass mine in cleanliness, beauty! Can't wait!

Yeah, I just couldn't pass up the deal, Jason, and I sat in them on this hot day for 20 minutes, in the shade,.... REALLY comfy, with plenty of "Huggin" on the sides WITHOUT digging into my rib cage.

I forgot to mention... due to my accident, and on top of the fact that I have wide shoulders/chest/ribs, .... I developed LOTSSSSSSSSS of scar tissue! I'm fine just standing there or on a flat backed surface...but the second something pushes just A LIL BIT too hard into my ribs from the sides..... IT'S ON! as they say, lol.

Wishing all of you well!

PS> I finally got Avast and dumped McAfee, completely, ..... HOLY CRAPOLI! It's night and day, SUPER fast now! I also got Uniblue, another company owned by Iyogi, who owns Avast..... it's a registry mechanic, and not one of the free rip off ones that I can tell. It was recommended to me by a tech guy, who said, "With McAfee as long as you've had it.... you probably have TERRIBLE registry errors going on, especially running Malwarebytes on top of it. McAfee, unlike many, such as Avast/AVG/etc., does NOT work well with almost ANYTHING, especially other Malware or Virus programs. Hell, it doesn't even work well with WINDOWS! lol. Recently, the McAfee started HIDING MY PICTURES, everytime I'd try to rotate them....they'd DISAPPEAR! That was the straw that broke the camels back, for me!!!!

Ok, sorry for taking so long..... Here's the pics of the 2005 Scion TC seats I picked up for 100$....

Before cleaning(I KNOW, yuck! lol.... They were outside for a bit)...

I washed em and got THIS out of them......

Here they are, drying, and then all cleaned up.......

Dudes, seriously..... IF YOU GET USED SEATS, CLEAN THEM WELL! lol. That water was SOOOOOOOOOO GROSS, and that was only the steamer... The Shop-Vac water I back up suctioned the seats with had all kinds of nasty water in it too! YUCK! lol. In fact, we should all steam clean our own seats that we're using in our rigs, on occasion! lol.

Hope they work out as well as I'm hoping! lol.

hahaha... Well, I'm sure it's fine, Toyo! lol. I just mean, more so, ...they get REALLY nasty(that stuff we can't see)...not really the 'wheelin mess'. haha.

Oh yeah, ....that's why I went with these over the 4door seats I have. I mean, the ones I have, both sets, the Camry and the Maxima seats...they're CUSH! lol. But being a 4door, they don't slide forward enough, they don't have the mechanism to get out of the back, and the TC seats do. When you engage the lever on the sides, the fold forward AND slide toward the dash... and they go back and front, sliding, quite a bit! Plus, both seats, driver and passenger, do that! So someone can get out from either side.... That could come in handy on a trail if we're up against a tree or something on the one side, right? lol. Most often, though,...when I'm camping, I remove the top when I get there and lock it to a tree. You can hardly GIVE these things away, let alone get someone to steal their big arses! lol.

Thanks, guys..... I think they're pretty nice and should work out fine. SHOULD, of course... Hey, Scuba has em in his Taco, and he seems to like em.

I have taken the last few truck seats have had to the carwash and am surprised at what comes out. Try your carpet some time. I doesnt look much better at the gunk in them. But when done it has a nice fresh smell to them.

It not to bad of a job to get the seats and carpet out of them. But I allow 2 good hot days for drying on seats. The carpet will dry in a day.

OH yeah, I know! Carpet gets really nasty, too. You know, part of it is just the epidermis factor, straight out. I mean, we shed like CRAZY, lol... Sure, it's not as visibly gross as Dog hair(oooh, wet dog hair, eh guys? FHEWWWWW! lol)....but it adds up, because we spend so much time in that enclosed cube! lol. The other thing though...... Seats just get it worse, IMHO, Terry...... Sweat, funk, sweat&funk-together!, .... WHATEVER, ...it all soaks right into those seats. Just think about how many THOUSANDS of hours they've been sat in? Now don't get me wrong... I'm NOT a germ-freak... BUT, when I start to think about THE OTHER SEATS, ...and how 'FUNKY' that dude/gal might have been? WOE! Yeah, pretty gnarly. I'ma shampoo my back seats really well, pull the top and let it dry out in the sun with the top off....Wanna do that before I toss any Covers on, ya know?

Yeah, it'll be cool to get em in. No huge rush, .... it's worth the wait to have some help, ya know? Thanks, btw... I think I did an ok job, lol.

Yeah, I do actually.... But first, I have to get them in there and just 'mock-fit' em. I need to know how tall, how wide, etc. I think my seats are actually wider at the bottom part. Anyway, if I can get them in, then I'll know if I can cut the feet off the rear of the passenger side and move them toward the dash/forward(know what I mean?).... The spacing is 15.5", front to back, just like my driver side holes in my rig... But on the passenger side..... measure your first gen.....they're actually 12.5" front to back. This is to allow the seat to roll forward more(???? maybe ????) and I think because the fuel lines and trucks actual body to frame mounts are right there! That will simply not work. I would like to avoid drilling new holes, just for the sake of being able to slap in my old seats if I want, some day(or others, whatever). If they're too LOW, then I will definitely need to cut off all the bracket feet and weld on mine, ya know? However, the driver seat has a "jack" style 'lift' mechanism in it. You can literally jack up the whole seat, away from the frame, to see better, to adjust for diff drivers, etc. ya know? This is why I need to do a mock-fitting- I'll try to get video and more pics. I plan on doing this build up RIGHT, and as usual, i REALLY want, badly, for this to help someone ELSE, besides myself, right? lol. Just haven't had time. Even today, I have to drive to Norwalk, for a.... get this.... "Emergency Wedding"! hahaha. I know, my life indeed! hahahahaha

Thanks, guys, appreciate your props! Been a rough year, and it really does help to have a couple Project Homies, even on line, whom are able to understand the burden and intricacies of "Toyotamaniaticulitus"!!!!!

Group hug, indeed! Then, some head bangin> and a Camping trip when I'm DONE! LOL>>

Spoke to Scoob today. I'm going to get some detailed measurements, then shoot em to him, just to try and help in advance a lil... And it MIGHT be go time next weekend. We'll see..... people are busy these days, ...gotta go with the flow, yeah?

I'm excited, ... been wanting to do something like this for a WHILE! Need more comfy cush-cush! lol. These are a bit racy and not SUPER soft or anything, ...but that's good! They're a LOT softer than the CRV seats that I use for work some times. Those seats KILL ME! They're not bad, just bad for me, ya know? Breaking my tailbone, back and multiple ribs to the point of coma for 14 days......yeah, that didn't help, lol(Thank GOD for Toyota 1st Gen runners.... part of the reason I lived, that thing took a TREMENDOUS BLOW! hehe) These are a LIL more giving in the rump, which is set up in a way that's a bit different than the solid underframe CRV seats that I don't like very much, lol.

I'll be posting pics and such as I measure, maybe that will help others figure out what will fit in their first gens..... 1 thing to remember, .... The front seat, passenger side, is only 12.5" from front mounting hole to rear mounting hole... The Driver? 15.5".... This changes things a bit, especially in regards to the pass. seat going forward enough for people to get in and out of the rear, easily, ya know?

anyway, more to come, sorry it's been kinda going nowhere for a bit.... aside from starting a seat collection at my home! lol. I'LL GET IT, promise! I usually do, with plenty of pics, video, etc., right? lol.

Been running around today, plus got to hang out with the first Yotatech Homie I met, Andy, stopped by 4WheelParts, picked up a Smittybuilt 20FT Tow Rope and a Handle Keeper for my Hi-Lift....then came home and cleaned out some of the garage..... and STOPPED.... after looking over at the Hi-Lift and realizing it needs to be taken apart and cleaned up, painted, then greased.

For now, I just painted one side of it.... finish it tomorrow. Going with a custom scheme! lol. It's a Hi-Lift Premium, older model, before they had the X-treme from what I remember.... So it's naturally black, but I figured I'd paint the stand foot and winch end hoop Toyota Super Red II, lol. >>>>

Got a before shot, first......

Then stripped it down/apart and started painting.....

I think it'll look good..... trying to get the paint thick on there! lol.

Lookin good Chef!! It will be like a brand new jack when ya get it back together. Definitly gotta keep them greased. I don't have the actual Hi Lift, its the HF knock off one. But when its not been greased in a while in no likey to work. Which has been known to be quite dangerous for me lol. I always keep a can of Amsoil M&P in the truck just in case it needs it. Give it a quick spray down and voila, good as new.
Sorry for the ramble, just thought Id throw my .02 in there

do some periodic PM's on these things is always a good idea.
Just curious about the top of yours:

did you chop off the top of your like I did mine? I made the mistake of cutting some off my 60" High lift so it would fit across the bed of my '05 Taco...
