I believe there is a torque setting for the inner and outer nut. But I always do the inner preload by feel. Torque, spin 4-5 times left 4-5 times right, do all over about 3 times then set the outer nut.


Pat, we could also just balance the tires if you want. I also have a good computerized wheel balancer.

My fan was loose and super loud and rattled ever since I did the ol' "leave the wrench on the crank and start the truck" move. So I picked up a fan from a 90's something truck today at the yard. Some little difference in design. I'm sure the newer one is improved.

Awesome!!! I have a cheap little bender you can check out when we do your tires. Works great for bending bumper tube.

I would try getting a metric tap and try that first.how be are the threads boogered up???

Umm they look pretty crappy. I'll hafta pick up a tap then. Do they just screw in or what? Never used one.
