I got so frustrated trying to replace a set of u-joints in my old Trekker I took the driveshaft in and paid someone to replace them.

When I had to do the U-joint at the differential, that's how it was. This one was tough but it finally came out. The biggest pain was that I don't have a vice which makes it difficult to hold multiple things at the same time. I definitely am not looking forward to doing the cardan joint when it finally goes.

i am glad i had my double cardan rebuilt when i had the long slip driveshaft built for the 4Runner.

I have a small 4" hitch mounted vise using a plate similar to this that i use for a ton of stuff. slides into the receiver on either my dodge or the front or back of the 4runner
Amazon Amazon

helps to keep the garage cleaner - its still a dirty disaster.

So, the water pump decided it was tired. It's been leaking through the weep hole for a while. Figured I better get after it.

Broke the bolt off flush on the bottom left side. Still have to get it out.

After I removed the radiator it was clear it needed to be replaced too. I installed the old about 25 years ago.
