You have too much common sense to be a politician..... and that will end all mention of the curse of the Washington snake infestation

Going to do some wheeling today! Its a chance to test my new tires and clearance. I will be sure to post some pictures. I'm most curious about my departure angle in the rear. I used to shy away from some hill climbs because I was worried about my bed dragging. I don't think I will have that problem anymore...

well the truck performed better than I expected. I love the grip of the new tires! They are awesome in sandy stuff and never slipped on any of the steep hill climbs I tried. I didn't get a lot of pictures myself, because I was too busy driving. Some friends got more pictures of my truck in action, I will try to get a hold of those pictures and post them soon.

here are a few pictures of our little group:

This is the view looking down on the same obstacle as above.

This is the way down on the same hill. Apparently I felt like taking a lot of pictures of only this obstacle.

Ya that Tacoma was down in there pretty well. It took several full throttle pulls with the Land Cruiser to get it out. I had very little rubbing. It did rub only at full stuff when the tire hit the troublesome body seam. I will need to cut a little more and perhaps some more beatings with a BFH

I obviously need to put some front inner fender liners in very soon. Here is why:

Well here is my morning, my daughter forgot to do her homework, Land Cruiser battery was dead, my truck wouldn't start all sorts of grinding and noise. So I switched the batteries from my truck to the Cruiser so the kids can go to school, and out the cruiser battery on the charger. After my wife got the kids to school she walked into the laundry room and noticed a weird smell. She came and got me from the garage because she saw that the dryer plug had melted...... uggg. The dryer had the clothes I needed for the week because I was traveling for work. So I ran to the hardware store and got a new plug and cord and wired them up. OK crisis number 2 solved. Now back to my truck.... on Friday I noticed that the truck started a little weird, noisy... So I look at the starter itself and realize that it loose. I mean, laying on the frame loose. The bolts were still in the starter just barely threaded in. So I tightened up the bolts and it started just fine. Crisis number 3 taken care..... whew.

Luckily I didn't have to come into work till noon today because we are traveling to southern Illinois to do some work tomorrow. So everything got taken care of and I wasn't late for work. Only by the grace of God.

Wow. Glad you got all that taken care of. Looks like you had a fun wheeling trip, makes me wish mine was ready to roll.

It was a crazy busy and hectic morning. At the start, it was crap! whats next!!??!! I must say ... be careful what you wish for... lol I am fortunate to get all of that fixed and still have time to make it to work. One more problem could have thrown off the whole day.

Wheeling was a lot of fun, hanging out with friends, testing the new tires and clearance on my truck was a blast too. I was grinning from ear to ear when I started climbing things that I had shyed away from before. I do like the new tires. great on and off road manners. perfect for my dual use truck
