Here are some pics of hardtop painting
Before. Slider removed Slider frames. I stripped sanded and repainted Finished. Not great quality but it should last a while!
Working on getting the body ready for paint. One major dent is holding me up. I’m attempting to do as cheap as possible to avoid cutting and welding in.
That is using a slide hammer and c clamp to try and get it out enough so I could bondo. That seems to be as far as I can get. Any suggestions??
I know you don't want to cut and weld, but I remeber a guy got an original Toyota part from Amayama, and that part was one those little corners you are working on it. He restored a pickup. I tried to find that part number but I didn't have any luck, and after the photobucket disaster I couldn't see his thread photos again, anyway the member's not active in the forum since a few years.
his thread is in this forum: http://forums.hpoc.co.uk/forum/8-modifications/
and his got the part from here if I remember correctly: https://www.amayama.com/en
Nice looking runner. To pull the dent out I would remove the tail light and use a pry bar to help push the dent out. The curved part of a pry bar might get in behind it to help get it started to move in the right direction so that you can work it some more with the tools you have and then start with body filler. I will move yo to the correct section.
