Yeah but the one that has eye to eye says "image might not be application specific". I'm going to contact them to see what's up.
EDIT: JC Whitney has a live chat with a customer service rep and he said that the stud-stud mounted one does not fit the SR5 model...Don't the 4x4 SR5, DLX, and base models all have the same steering components?

So you're probably wondering "What did Shawn end up getting?"...maybe not
I didn't order the Skyjacker 7000 stabilizer from JC Whitney. Their site wasn't very descriptive and their customer service wasn't much help. I ended up ordering a Skyjacker 9000 from autoanything.com. It was actually cheaper than the 7000 from JC whitney even after the 15% off.
But let's back up a bit. I started out today by giving the truck a much needed bath. It hasn't been washed since early November. I couldn't take it any longer and it was a really nice day to be outside.

Bumper is starting to rust out

Rust starting to creep out of the plastic panel. I don't even want to take that off to see what's under it

Oh, and I cleaned up and put in my dads tool chest that he loaned me until I find a full length tool box. I had no idea it was a Delta. Dig the sexy blue rachet strap

So all day I'm hoping that my stabilizer will come. I worked outside all day with my dad cutting down a tree and cutting it up and whatnot. A little later after dinner I thought "oh maybe it won't come today". So I got a shower and stuff. I walked outside to move my truck back to it's parking spot and I see this in my bed.

My tailgate was open at the time, so he just put it on the tailgate. Freaking awesome! Fed-Ex can't even find the right house, but the UPS guy can find it and can actually tell what vehicle the part goes on! Genius!
So I tore it open, only to find out that the part they shipped wasn't a direct OEM replacement that uses the factory mounts. It had all the custom brackets. So I went online only to find out that I'm an idiot and I ordered the "wrong" parts. It is indeed made for the 86-95 truck, it's just not a direct replacement.
The decal for the tube was stuck to the installation instructions which really ticked me off, not really because of the instructions, but because of the wasted decal (yeah, yeah I know. Stupid, right?). I went back online to print off a new set of instructions. The instructions say part number 7186, but I had a 9186. It took me a while to figure out that the 9186 was the upgraded version of the 7186, but they install the same way.

I'm pretty sure everyone on here knows how to do this, but I'll go through it anyway.
Tools needed:
Needle nose pliers
Pickle fork (didn't take me 1/2 hour to find it this time
)
3/8" drive rachet
14mm socket
17mm socket
19mm socket
13mm socket
13mm wrench
Wire cutters
Before:

Oh wow...

To start off, make sure the tires are aimed straight. Remove two of the idler arm bolts and install the two supplied longer bolts and spacer for the top bolt. Then install the plate, washers and lock nuts.

Then put on the L-shaped plate with the u-bolts. Don't tighten them yet because you'll need to be able to slide it.

Pull the shaft out halfway (this is why you need to be sure the tires are straight) and put the booted end in the flat bracket. Slide the L-bracket up to the other end of the stabilizer and install the nuts. Tighten down the u-bolts in the L-bracket. This step wasn't in the instructions, but I jacked up the front of the truck and turned the wheel lock to lock, just to make the steering wasn't being stopped by the limits of the stabilizer.
And you're done! You can now drive through potholes with confidence now!

It's a shame it has to be covered up by the skid plate. I might contact Skyjacker to see if they can send me another decal, but it really isn't important since you really can't see it...but I'll know, and that really bugs me

For anyone who is confused or wondering, just to clarify, the part number for this stabilizer is 9186.

It's definitely an improvement. I drove it a little last night, but the real test was driving to school this morning. The roads in Pennsylvania are horrible. They couldn't pave a smooth road to save their lives.

You'll really notice it off road, when the wheel would normally be yanked out of your hand or to the left or right rapidly, due to a rock or ditch. BUT, definitely helps on potholes as well.

You guys want to see something really messed up?
I was searching around on ebay and I found these cold air kits. I clicked on the red one and there was a pic showing a kit on a truck. I thought to myself "Wow, that truck looks really familiar". Upon further inspection, the seller used the pic of my truck...

Then, I clicked on the blue one and it looks like he changed all of the red to blue!

I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE SAME KIT! Is that messed up or it just me? I already contacted him to remove them.
In other news, I haven't got much done due to school and the lack of money, but I'm planning on replacing my ebay ISR with something else and probably do the 7mge AFM swap if I can find one. Honestly, I have kinda lost interest in the truck because of the rust and the itch to go fast, but if the past has any indication, I will gain interest again.

Holy crap, this guy did it too. Different seller and he used a different pic, but still my truck, just with some colors changed.

It seems like they didn't notice my hack job with the vacuum hoses
That's why I want to change my setup.

So I haven't updated in a while, mostly since nothing has happened in a couple months, due to school costs and work.
Yesterday, my dad and I went up to Carlisle, PA for the all GM Nationals at the fairgrounds. It's been a couple years since I went, I almost forgot how awesome that swap meet is. My dad bought some random tools and a few things to get his new vehicle on the road (2001 blazer ZR2). There was a guy who had 2 Hurst Ram Rod shifters and 2 Hurst V-Gate shifters (updated version of the Ram Rod), all complete for $250 each. I almost shed a tear walking away from them just because they're so hard to come by.
I only bought one thing, a set of used Hella 500s! It was kind of an impluse buy. He had them there for $60 and after looking at them and thinking about the cost new, I offered $50. The guy even insisted on testing them on his car before I bought them. After thinking about it, I might have gotten ripped. You can get a set of brand new 500s for a little over $60 and that's with all of the wiring and switches and whatnot. Oh well...I might go back up in August for the Truck Nationals.
After coming home, I took one of my driving lights off and put one of the Hellas on and realized that they definitely won't work on the valance. I think it's definitely time to buy a light bar. I've narrowed it down to the Pro Comp Pro Runner and the Fabtech Desert Guard. I'm leaning towards the Pro Comp, just because it's about $100 cheaper and it's made specifically for my truck, not universal. I have the money for it, it's all a matter of pulling the trigger. I'm still deciding on a light bar or just mounting them on the bumper in front of the grill.
I also took the plastic bed liner out just to see what it's like underneath...I'll have pics of that and the lights another time
Enough rambling for now...

Ok, here's some pics of when I took my plastic bed liner out
I'm not really sure what all that white crap is...

I swept all the leaves and sticks out and found this rust hole on drivers side in front of the wheel well

Rust bubbling up on passenger side in front of the wheel well

And the Hellas

My summer project was going to be getting rid of the plastic liner and putting in a roll in and then mounting a cross-bed toolbox. Then I could put in a CB radio that I found in the garage and mount the antenna to the toolbox. I'll have to set that aside for now. If I'm going to be repairing rust holes and dents, I might as well do the whole truck. And I wasn't planning on doing that until after I finish school. I'll focus more on the lights for now

Light bar ordered! I bought the Fabtech one for $205 from streetsideauto.com. They had it listed for $222 or something, but they had a thing that you can make them an offer, so I started at $180 and went up until they accepted. Also, they have free shipping on anything over $100.

I was thinking about the wiring that I'll need to do for the lights. I'm definitely not going to use the existing wiring that came with those Walmart lights. I have 1 relay on there now that I put on because the Walmart lights didn't come with one. This time, I was thinking about having two relays, one for each light. Is there any benefit to this, or would the one be enough. At some point, I plan on putting 100w bulbs in the Hellas.
