LOTS easier,.... With its own set of issues... Like everything with wheeling, there's always variables.... Like heading down over some nasty rocks and not being able to backup and take a different line... lol. I will lean toward Rubens perspective on this one, because factors leading in red wagon favor column going down. Lol.

I find going down freakier than up. Thanks for the locker info but I'll pass. Im going to get ARB's. Tired of the lunchbbox tearing up my tires. I daily drive it so it rips up expensive rubber.

I booked into the same spot as Mark so we can discuss trails in person tomorrow. The missus is looking forrwarrd to this as well.

Totally agree with both you and Mark. I think it is scarier going down too. And if you get stuck it is much easier to get unstuck going up a hill forward then it is to go upward in reverse lol

I dont care what trails we do. I'm still gonna have fun. (so long as i dont break my truck)

Might want to post that on the SoCal offroad event thread. I'm sure we'd have a turn up.

Woo wow I just checked up on tomorrows forcast for Big bear. And found that we're gonna be having some showers up there.

------------------------------------------
FRIDAY: (FOR WHEN I DRIVE UP THERE)
5PM - 11PM
Partly Cloudy
47 degrees - 30 degrees.
------------------------------------------
SATURDAY:
*8am - 9pm
Showers (Rain)
Lows = 33degrees, Highs = 53 degrees.

*9pm -11pm
Freezing Showers
Lows = 22degrees, Highs = 24 degrees.
------------------------------------------

I'm still game for some off-roading in the rain. Because it will be raining from morning to night. It will definitely call for some awesome pictures and videos that's for sure! I am definitely going to bring my snow boarding jacket/pants and water proof hiking boots. This is gonna be fun lol.I already have my camera charging.

I'm just glad we all have winches because we might all need to use them at one point tomorrow lol!

Well thank god they're freezing showers! Good grief, I was really dreading having some warm rain or a monsoon... That freezing stuff is the best!....

Bring a freaking rain coat, trust me!

I'm thinking maybe you didn't check AccuWeather... You would have seen this national weather forecast alert in red with!... Lol.

http://m.accuweather.com/en/us/big-b...rnings/2154381

Why do I mention this? Because wind @ several thousand feet elevation in early winter can cause temperatures to seem as though they are really 0 degrees or under when it says 30... Wind chill factor baby!

I seen your text just now. That weather report from earlier was off of google on the work computer. I seriously hope there is no rain. Either way I'm coming prepared. As for the rain coat I don't own one lol. But all my snowboarding gear is water proof. I always use the jacket when it rains out here. And best of all it is ridiculously warm!

I think i've lost enough weight to fit into the snowboarding pants again. Really hoping they fit cuz I haven't used them in over 3 years.

Hoping we get a lot of videos too. I want to make a video/ picture compilation like i did back when my truck was still stock. if we get enough between the 3 of us I might be able to make it possible. Gonna take my laptoo just so I can copy all your pix and vids.

Just had the best day wheeling I've ever had. The John Bull trail is challenging but really fun. The Blazeland kit with the heavy duty coils in the rear made it possible to do it even with 110lbs on the roof. The roof top tent weighs 100 so conservatively the rack and hardware come in at 10lbs but probably more.

The 3" body lift is pretty much permanent. The clearance is now needed for the amount of flex I am getting front and rear.

We got loads of photos. Mark and Richard copied my SD card so photos will be up in their threads.

Thanks again guys. We had a blast!

I look forward to next time. Hopefully we can set something up with more notice. Or I can try to join in on one of the Toyota events.

Reddeth has a new John Bull crushed tailpipe mod to add to his list

Absolutely fantastic to meet you and the Missus! And thanks for making me dinner, Andrew! Had a wonderful time wheeling today, it was just perfect!

I'll check in tomorrow, but just wanted to say that, that it was very nice to meet you two!

PS: You killed it with your Red Wagon Beasty! Lol... Very impressed, sir!

The Red Wagon goes pretty good over those rocks. Now I just need to toughen and lock the front end.
