You need to tell them. Send them pics. Atleast let them now you will not be a repeat customer and you wont recommend them to anyone. Maybe it will help them step up there game or maybe they will compensate. Very least let them know there garbage.

I was hoping for the best Toyo. It was a last minute purchase to not have my spare in the cargo area for this trip.

Lesson learnt.

Hey buddy! long time no talk! just caught up on the thread didn't see anywhere if you started your trip yet or not. Or if you decided on van island or not. Sucks about the bumper man, its nice to see that you figured it out tho and it wasnt a complete waste. Hope all is well with you and the missus.

I too am curious if you come down yet. I stopped by date one time, and then I saw him in Pismo as well. Funny dude. I look forward to going wheeling with him anytime!

Anyway, I just wanted to mention that I saw the very very clean v6 5 speed 4 door 4 runner on Craigslist yesterday I think he was asking 2 grand? Bottom line is, so many of these down here have zero rust... & I mean 0! I can't even tell you how many I've gone and seen in the yards, to pull parts, and they are absolutely immaculate inside. Some of course are totally trashed by terrible owners and their monster kids, lol. However, I'm really shocked how many are in great shape. I did ask but the yard one time and they told me they would probably sell me one for about 800 to 1000. I just mention that because I don't know if you're telling something back for driving it back or what... Awfully risk the drive back something you just purchased I would imagine, especially all the way to Canada! Hahaha.

Very pissed off for you about the bumper! I don't think I would have tolerated that, I would have sent it back for sure. I'm assuming you just needed it bad and you liked the look and you made it work, so that's cool. But jeesh! What a bunch of ass hats!

Whether I see you or not, I wish you traveling mercies and a safe trip home as well. I got a guy coming down today from Lancaster, a member on here, who is picking up some parts. About a 2 hour drive with moderate traffic. I just got a little confused because you said you were coming down to have Nate's kit put in,... But we're going to drive back another 4 runner?

Alright fellas update time. No pics yet as I have no PC to get my SLR photos on but I have this to say. The Blazeland LT IS AMAZING!

So pleased in fact I'm no longer sold on an SAS for this build. I will look for an Fj40 for a dedicated trail rig.

Tim Lund at Wild West Offfroad did the work. He's my new go to guy. I made a good friend there. We had drinks at the pub over dinner then breakfast the next morning. I felt rough but my first chicken fried steak helped. If anyone is looking for a guy in Washington state he should be called. Worth the drive from Canada. My missus thought he was hilarious and he has great stories. I'll happily get him too do work again or just meet up for wheeliing.

I'm in Portland now. Was in Tillamook OHV park. The blazeland LT made me breaze through black diamonds and double blacks with my tent on. I could not get my rear sway bar disconnects out and the flex up front flexed the rear so much one of the frame sway bar mounts got mangled. So ii nneed to find a fab shop to make something new.

I have some great photos.

Other drama is my seats...... Bracket on back order means I have to find a place to ship my seats in America. Next stop might be Utah but not sure yet. Wish I could get pics up now.

Yotaman ill ggive you a heads up on the way back. Chef I'll make sure I give you advanced warning. See you soon.

Bbrideu BC is home again. We'll go wheeling foor sure.

I should be in Southern California in two to three weeks.

Toyo, have you locked your front diff? I don't know much about IFS upgrades to the front end. How does the Supra diff swap work? Can you even get lockers for it?

Sorry I missed your post Toy.

I'm in San Francisco and we've loved this place.

On the way here we took the coast. That road is way fun to drive. It would have been a bit scarymbefore the Blazeland kit and the heavy duty rear coils just put in. Would have been more fun with the rear sway bar connected. This disconnects where not able to come out. I think a cotter pin would be a better choice over the ball bearing in the heim joint pin. It seized up so I had to wheel with them still on. The ttwisted up the bracket attached to the frame. The rear suspension has never been twisted up so much. Looks like I will need to redo the rear if I want to get rid of the body lift. At full stuff they lightly scuff the wheel well. I have nice photos of it.

I also got another alignment done. The truck started to really wander. I was told the Blazeland kit is unsafe and it will always do that. I didn't buy it completely and seem to have fixed it on the side of the road myself.

I guessed that perhaps the steering column might be loose. So I pulled over pulled some of the dash and tightened it. Looks like I have a stripped bolt or threads in the hole. I can over torque it so I'll see if I can find something at a wrecker or get it retapped. Didnt want to pull it out as I could make it hold if I torque it just right. Also got at tthe connections under the hood. It stopped wandering. I'm gaining more confidence at digging into her which is nice.

I also got a new stereo, door 6.5" speakers, amp, and 4" speakers in tthe dash. The main reason was to go in and get an alarm and ignition kill and it snowballed. The dude even ran wires to the rear for future subs. I also got rid of the Sirius unit in the vent. Now itts hidden and controlled by yhe New Alpine head deck. The speakers sound great. It's nice to be able to listen to something with a beat sometimes. Hey even country music sounds better. I can hear the bass guitar bits now. My missus was annoyed so after thee seats from slow ass corbeu get in that's it for unnecessary mods or I'll be in some deep ˟˟˟˟ with her.

Thanks again Chef for letting me ship seats yourr way. They are still not out of tthe factory so if they don't get to Northridge soon you'll be off the hook.

Im looking forward to getting photos up. Went to Alcatraz today.

Tomorrow I get to see the Vancouver Canucks flog San Jose. I got the best seats ive ever gotten in my life. It seems San Jose is not hockey mad like Vancouver. Ill be right at the glass and they where bought 4 days ago. Vancouver games have been sold out every game for 8 years give or take.

I've had my DSLR camera glued to my hand so I have some good ones to share once I can get them uploaded to photobucket.

Anyone in shooting range from San Jose up for wheeling this weekend? Next week, Disneyland. Oh yeah.

The tires stick out past the fender 5.5 inches now. It looks mean but I'll need to get them pulled back in a bit.

Bigger rims and more backspacing. I need beefier brakes anyway.

You doing any wheeling soon? Im pretty close to your area I think.
