90supra's 1990 4runner build-ish thread

I guess I'm going to start a build thread for my 90 runner. Really not sure where this will end up and progress will probably be slow. Bought it in October for 1300. Had about 200k on it with 30k on new motor. Its a 5 speed 3vz. Bought it for the main purpose of being a winter car and trip vehicle. Now I thinking it will end up getting mildly built up. So far my wife and I have logged about 7k miles on it from ski trips to colorado and her commuting to school with it for a little while. I have been reading this site and some of the other rexommended reads quite a bit since I got it and have found lots of help. Anyway here are a few pictures and I'll try and organize this better once i'm on a computer.

Got around to putting a newer rear bumper on. Picked one that is in decent shape up from the U-pull-it to replace the rusted one that was on it.

The old bumper:



Halfway through after having 4 bolts break due to rust:

So I have a question for you guys. My Runner through code 52 knock sensor circuit. Did a bunch of reading on here and am planning of picking up a new knock sensor and pig tail and hope that fixes it.

My question is what else is in there that should be done while I'm in there. I've seen it's not exactly the quickest job so I figure if there's some other good maintence to take care of it might be a good idea.

In case its not up higher 3.0 with about 37k on a rebuild. 206k on body.

If its like a 22re you just unscrew it and screw the new one in.BAM! done. I had a 3.0 in a t100 once. just changed oil and drove it, so i dunno if the 3.0 is harder to replace??

Yeah 3vze is a bigger problem. Under the intake mani in the center from what I've found

should be able to take upper off and get to it. Mark vacuum lines good so you know what goes where.
