unfortunately my injectors were almost perfect in and a little better on the way home.......
main difference was the baskets and the grommets and o-rings.

Yours were so good bc you are 1st owner, you knew you took care of your truck. This one is a toss up.

BTW, how much money are you saving by not having to do the HG's? What was that?? Oh really? That much? Wow, what can you clean up with all that money you saved? hehehehe.

Well I look at it like this...

1. PM me the vin# and I'll check to see if it had the HG done at a dealer for the recall.
2. You have the time to get the injectors cleaned, just do it.
3. Changing the timing belt/water pump/idler probably a good thing.

You have the time to get it done and then you don't have to worry about it. I wouldn't mess with the HG's if you don't have to. But that's just me.

LUMPY....i did the VIN at 2 dealers.....they told me the VIN was real far off from the recall so it did not even qualify.

i wish there was a way of knowing what service has been done.....not that it matters that much, just wondering

believe it or not (and you will have to study the pic to see this)....there is a difference between the 2 plenums......someone would have to tell me what year that plenum may be from.

to the left of the throttle body are 2 bolt holes visible on the LEFT one on it's horizontal surface that are on the vertical surface of the RIGHT one.

<<< LOVE that paint, don't you? hahaha. Looks great, Jerry! Nice grinding, Joe, nice attack on the rust!

On the injectors, ....it's ok, they will serve you much longer now, ya know? Just keep some stuff in the tank in low doses on occasion .... Should KEEP em clean even longer.

also the 2 vacuum lines on the throttle bodies and the way they go back to the plenum are different including the vacuum rail. are different. Looks like what you are talking about is the mounts for the throttle cable bracket.

jerry I found an intake manifold from an 89 4runner with the same throttle cable bracket mount as your back up one.

notice the different in the bracket. now that I got a better look at it, it looks like that vacuum rail that I said was different is not different.

been digging around with part numbers on that manifold, I can't find one 4runner intake manifold part number that is different. maybe it's a cruise control verses no cruise control and not year related? are you sure that manifold came off a 4runner and not a pickup or t-100? gonna go look at those part numbers now.

EEEk, uh oh! 'X', is this leaning toward "The donor wont work without some mods"...? Can't he just swap out the components?....Sorry if I missed something, making that a stupid question, hahaha.

nah...not a donor except we might use some of the metal coolant lines.....otherwise...nothing....throttle body is the same...it the crap mounted just to it's left that mounts slightly different....makes no difference to me.....for $15 couldn't go wrong
