87hoerunner's 1989 4runner build

Well guys bought another 4runner after parting with my 87. It's an 894runner, 22re, auto, motor has a slight knock, and previous owner said auto was starting to slip in reverse right before the knock started. Towed it home and played with it a few minutes as the knock is slight. Time to start build.

Appreciate it bone. It doesnt seem to be to bad of a swap. Hardest part is finding driveshafts for the swap. The runner is really clean and one of the best body's on a toyota ive ever owned. Rust free, just needs bumper ends and front marker as far as body is concerned.

Hey man! Guess who? I've got your 5-speed ready and waiting. It'll come out of the truck in 20 minutes or less. Maybe I could pull the seats for you too. Who knows. Geez, I'll even help you install it if you wanted the help. Didn't know you were on here though. And you were right, that 4r is one of the straightest I've seen around here too.

No I haven't. It's in the garage with nothing on it right now. Head's off, oil pan's off. It's just chillin. I'm planning to build it but really I should just get a 3rz to put in my truck. It'd be a smarter option since the truck will be getting a newer or at least higher power engine eventually.

The a/c compressor and all still works but the guy i bought it from used it on his hunting club and jammed a stick through the condenser and radiator but he said a/c worked until then

and as far as the exhaust bolts on flange are froze up so im gonna have to do some cutting and stud replacement

How broken is your pressure switch? Did it come out or is it hung up?
