Wow, that was quick. Now you have to change your signature for 87 4runner to say "REBOUGHT" hahahahaha! Either way, that was extremely quick! And for your transmission hole, the auto is wider I believe but you can just roll with it and ignore the middle bolts on the shifter boot bezel holder thingymajig. I saw someone do that with the swap in some thread on here, others weld in a piece of sheet metal to match it to the 5 speed tunnel perfectly.

Either way, I wanna see it when it's done! We'll gather the 4runners! hahaha

Hey guys how are y'all installing the shifter panel in the floor on a five speed swap? Just cutting a plate and putting over the auto hole?

I noticed the auto cut out is wider than the five speed cutout which will leave a gap and no screws in the center.

Just curious on others swaps on hat y'all did.

I'd suggest reading chef's thread with his body swap. He had to do that so I think it's in there. I read a few people welding in a plate and then making a completely new cutout. No links though.

Hopefully weather will stay nice in middle Georgia this week and can finish some interior modifications. Look for more updates this weekend.

Hey guys been tinkering with getting my seats in and figuring out my wiring harness to bypass the auto neutral safety switch and for the reverse lamps to work. Does anyone know of a link that shows how to do the bypass?

If not I've got it figured out tonight and I'm thinking about making a thread for doing the bypass with pictures and the wiring schematics I used to do it. I looked all over and couldn't find a thread stating how so I'd like to help out others with a Thad on how to bypass it and still maintain reverse lamps.

Suffered a neck injury not to long after my last post so of course progress slowed dramatically. All is well now and i've finally gotten to where i can work on the beast again. Motor is built, installed, and ready to go. Finishing up installing the intake manifold and exhaust, and wiring in kill switch.

Also find out im going to be having my first child coming in June, so really excited as is the wife to finish this project. Will put up pictures soon.
