This is my first post on here just bought me a 86 yota with a freshly rebuilt 22r. It has only one problem, it is starting to rust through on parts of the frame. What are the best ways to solve this? I figured I could cut out all the cancer and turm around and weld in some nice 1/4 inch steel plate to keep it strong and respray some por-15 on it. is there any better ways to do this? or is that about the best way?

Thanks, I figured that would be the most effective and easiest way to do it. Also just noticed this is in the wrong section can someone please move it for me?
