will a fuel tank out of a efi 4x4 truck fit into my truck?

i just acquired a turbo setup that will push 400whp in a supra that i may be installing on the truck to run low boost just to have some fun.

my Supra just burned a ring on number 6 so im selling the shell and putting the drive train in the garage and will through fordged pistons and rod's in, but till then i am using the tran's and clutch in my 82 supra project drift car with a fordged motor and massive 67mm turbo.

Though if i Turbo this truck i would have to put a top mount intercooler with maybe a hood scoop of some sort.

so i've plumbed the pump and wired it and found that the hole is to small to fit the return line in with the new pump, i was thinking of drilling alot of holes above the pump and smashing the end of of return pipe, not so it builds pressure but so i have some thing to hold the fuel pump with and the fuel still returns.

Well pump is installed now, but didn't happen like that ^

i ended cutting the origonal pick up tube short, and welded a thin peice of steel to the pick up tube that's been cut short, then i bent it like a j, squeezed the pump in the nest of the J and cut the feed line to size, and tightened to new bulk head, i'll be using the pick up tube as a return line now. and a new high pressure feed line hose from tank/pump to a fuel filter under manifold to hard lines.
i found a -6 jic fitting in the correct thread size and pitch for the toyota fuel rail and filter's. i belive it's ?10mmx1.25?
but i'll double check,?

once i find my dip stick, mix some coolant and put gas in, i might be ready for a starting attemp, maybe a couple of wire's into the fuse box or ignition switch.

really close to getting it running, still some hard parts left, exhuast, new tires,

definitly tring to keep the dream alive.
i have the pump line's ran and wire's ran, still need to install a relay. and fuse for pump and ground the relay to the afm so engine stall's pump dies.

what sucks though is the nw is having a cold snap atm and it's been 25-32 here during the day for the last week, while i've been working on this monster. and now more side work is piling up due to idiot's and bad rad's and water pump's,hose's too.
well once' i find my electric fan in the pile O' in the garage i'll perm install and wire it and update with some pictures.

thanks guy's for crawling along.

well spark fuel fire right? Wrong LOL Ignition Too!

well i have wired up the fuel pump, plumped the line's and found and fixed all the leaks, i still need to shorten up the fuel line a bit and get the line pined up to the body so it doesn't get cought on branches.

but good new's is untill my starter gave up it's ghost i was getting spark and fuel and flame's out the exhaust header, so once i tweak with the ingnition timming and through a check engine light into the sucker i should have it on the road shortly.

im looking to get a set of 35" x 12.50's does any one have a good tire brand/make that would be a good choice to buy?

as of now i have a 33x12.50 that is a goodyear wrangler mtr? that's in great condtion but i only have one, and i'd rather turn a taller tire....

i dunno i got room on the tire card and wanna go play in the snow, sand, and mud... don't want to go straight axle atm but will in the future. right now im going to install a 3inch body lift, tensition up the torsion bar's and install shackles and bj spacer. most the stuff im working to make.

the only issue with fron sump is you need to remove the steering stablizer shock, other then that it droped right in with engine mount brackets from a 5m, the engine mount isolater's ie rubber mount, from a 22r truck ie what was in the engine bay.. lol score..

and the M series bell housing, slave, clutch-flywheel, The trany doesn't move an inch i never droped mine down.. i did take my drive shaft out for awhile to make it easier with gas tank removal and installation.

So it take's about 5 power wires to get this swap running.

1: B
2: B+

3:coil power
4:injector power
5:idle speed motor power

3/4/5 im just writing out off the top of my head i'll look it up later so people could fallow this LOL..

by the way i powered 3/4/5 in the engine bay from a black/red wire that i belive came off the old coil connector, there was another and i forget what it was from now.. but it was right there next to it. i just wired it up put 3/5 to the large wire and 4 to the smaller one.

B/B+ are the power wire's for the ecu.
now on most vehicles with efi you get an efi fuse, well i got to run one my self, i put it in a retarded spot but only cause i know after it's on the road they dont blow offten and i know how to test for this issue.. and for other's to know if the CEL doesn't light at all and no start prob no power to ecu.. could be fuse.. any way's i wired them together fused them and joined it with a wire from the ignition switch wire that was on during both cranking and on.

I also wired up my fuel pump relay today, and choose a wire that is is active for cranking and key on. it happens to also be a black red wire on a four pin green plug i found on the passenger side not far from the engine fuse box.

And yes i installed a three inch body lift, that i would say make's a huge difference on where you could place your rad, and also looks like it would make the head gasket swaping easier.

any way's i'll have more update's in the morning.

i know the video sucks..

but i couldn't get it into reverse, i think my shifter bushing's are trashed so im going to check it out. actualy i couldn't get it into second, fourth,or reverse, though first third and firth are fine.. sound like shifter bushing symptons?

well right now im going to just connect the old exhaust with the new header and make sure i have a cat so i can pass emissions.

oh i still need to do a throttle fix for this, i seemed to have stolen the throttle round off the throttle body and i haven't found a 7mge throttle cable in my junk piles lo..

but soon enough im sure i'll have video's tearin down trail LOl..

oh i still need to a few things more aswell.. i need to relocate rad, i got more room with a body lift..

still need to install rear body lift, aswell as adding a leaf since the stock stuff is looking flat.

i've decided im going to bob my bed aswell. not extreme but atleat a few inches like 6/8 or some thing. only reason why is i will have a bed box and may have a trx250r chillin in the bed aswell , i can either stand it straight up since it's a 2 stroke or, chill the wheel's on the box and strap her down.

i've decided the truck may also pull an 18ft tandom axle trailor, with quads on it of course. maybe through the sand's of winchestor bay to do some extreme south sand camping w/ gf... so i'll still wire up electronic brake's though have to make her fell safe..
