Chris, good call on caging yours. i'll be sure to get in touch with you when it's in, so you can check it out if you want... the truck is up in A-town right now. working on it at a buddy's shop.

Is the cage going to include the rear seats as well?

I can't wait to check it out.

Nice! That will be good!

Any specific reason you went with internal vs. exo?

i really don't like exos... i've only seen a couple i like, and they weren't on 2nd gen 4Runners. i thought about doing a Mossyrocks-type setup, but the work involved would be a bit greater than i can put in right now. not quite ready to cut the rear roof off either, i like having the dry storage space. i'm kinda past the body damage thing too, so internal made the most sense to me.

That's pretty much my thinking as well. This will also be good as I plan to eventually longtravel mine.

The pics of the cage he posted on pirate look great! I think it would be a good idea to add some tabs for a cargo net right behind the rear seats to keep the gear back there in a rollover.

you're reading my mind chris, ha ha. tabs in the back are on the list, as well as some way to keep the subs from moving around back there too... can't wait to get it and throw it in, adam did a great job on it

4runnerkid - I don't know if you ever saw the webilt 4runner but here is a link to his build.

http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthrea...webilt+4runner

I'm not fond of exos as well but this is one of the cleanest 4runners I've ever seen and it's also what made me want to build a runner instead of a truck. Not sure how far you are on your cage build.
