Looks good, you might want to paint those u bolts and the tie rod ends though. Any plans for the rear? Leaf spring swap may be?

well, i just read this build up page by page and i was shocked to see your beautiful build on its lid and your lid so close to a rock... thats totally crazy, even crazier is your runner looks better than before! new paint! haha, this build is pretty cool because it's essentially two in one. you are a lucky and skilled dude. anyways cant wait to see new cage and wheelin pics.

wow, almost forgot about this thread... a little update: bent my front housing and sheared a knuckle pin at Baja last spring. new housing is in along with new hi-steer arms. installed my Kings and air bumps using the shock hoop kit we sell. installed the Davez Off-Road shackles, moved the steering box, and put on a flat pitman arm at the same time. got some Hella 4000s and a TG dual adapter for Christmas. lights are on, duals will be going in soon (finally). had a little problem passing smog... but she passed today after putting in a new cat.

shocks and air bumps:



current specs on the front-end:
-12" King 2.5 smoothies (valved at 12 over 10)
-Fox 2.0 air bumps shortened to 2" travel
-2WD 3.0L oil pan
-TG/RUF hybrid leaf pack (7 leaves total)
-TG flat pitman arm and steering box mount
-Davez shackles
-5-6" of up travel, depending on the day...

got a pretty good list of parts waiting to go in: PRP seats, Crow harnesses, Taco e-locker rear axle, cryo'd 5.29s, dual cases, Budbuilt skid... someday i'll get it all done.

Just read through the entire thread. I dig it! Almost cried when I saw the roll but with each new accident comes a new chapter in anyones build. Cant wait to see where it goes with the 40's! Ive been struggling like crazy on my next build platform and I think I am set on a 2nd gen runner. Been doing the 1st gen thing forever and I think I want to shake it up a bit. Wanted a 01-04 DC taco but trying to keep the build budget minded for now. Thinking I may chop the back of a second gen and have my own DC! Anyways, Ill stop rambling and killing your thread. Good work man!

BTW, How long have you been in SLO? I was born and raised in Atascadero but am only home for holidays since I joined the Navy 8 years ago. Maybe if I ever get back we can wheel!

after the New Years trip, i started collecting parts to replace the ˟˟˟˟ i broke... or thought i broke.

then when i pulled my front axle apart, i found this:







front axle is torn apart at the moment... waiting to hear back from the mfg about the broken locker. hoping i can get the truck back on the road soon, but we'll see.
