http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjCiNXmAwbMi have been wheeling this 22rec for over 12 years and it has always had the same problem . like two or three times a year when climbing a steep hill and reving motor it blows smoke. The funny thing is it did it when it was bone stock. know it has a fresh rebuild with new rv head .The only thing that i reused was the block crank rods oilpan and valve cover. Any ideas ? By the way that hill is steeper than it looks.

Its something with the angle that you are putting the truck at allows the oil to enter the intake or cylinders some how. power steering?
Or the angle is extreme enough and you're at the angle for long enough that oil can't flow down the front of the motor and gets pooled up enough in the head and you suck it in at the breather.

I have had the truck nose down to the point that the oil light flickers.on its side to the point that it can not get any fuel. no smoke in any one of those situations. It is only when I am nose up.I do think that you are on to something about the time thing becouse it seems Its allways after a few atempts at the obstacle. Is there no oil return in the back of motor?

one thing that helps with the 120 inch wheel base and 26 inch frame hight is the aluminum flat belly.I am landing on that thing all the time .So many times I thought I would high centerd just to slide off.Since the pic I counter sunk all the mounting bolts.
