That last post brought a smile to my face. Pretty much the motor was out and the next you are out wheeling it. Great job guys. That was a fast turn around, the addiction gets worse now.

Well we had a productive day on chris's truck today. since we pulled the engine it has had an exaust leak you may remember me asking about heli coils and such well as it turned out we didnt need them [thank goodness] turns out the studs that I thought were striped out only pulled the first few threads because they were to short sooo I hunted around and found my old studs out of my runner I know I know reuseing manifold studs is a bad idea but needing to get this thing going ina pinch and a tight tight budget Im hopeing for the best out of it after we drove it around a little I tried to snug the up a little more and everything seems solid so fingers crossed.
We also got the brake issue fixed, rebuilt the rear brakes [any body that knows me knows how bad I hate working on drum brakes] new parts from the wheel cylinders out except the drums as they were in good shape.
I felt confident enough in the truck to let chris take it home for the first time its about a 70 mile trip and he hasnt called to say he made it home yet so Im still sweating a little but Im sure it will be fine. we are getting it closer to being sound the carb still needs to be rebuilt, the front axle seels are on the short list as well, still need to get plug wires cap roter etc but the small stuff like that chris can handle at home he dont need dad there to step him thru it. hopefully will be able to start on the body soon and get it looking the way he wants. thanks for checking in guys.

Hey everyone aint had much time on here but. Got my exhaust leak fixed and my brakes on there for the back. drives a lot better not as noisey next on the list is carb rebuild kit and new wires and rotar. Then hopfully i can start gettin a kind of lift and 33's for open for suggestions on how to lift it and for some good used tires. Thanks

Glad to hear you got a fefw more things fixed. Makes it that more enjoyable to drive. I dont have much info on lifts as I just have to stay in the stock class. One day ope to try other upgrades.
On tires, when they pop up on Clist, you have to be fast. I posted some and literally didnt even get logged out and had 3 calls. 15 inch tires dont stay long. Keep looking and you will eventually find some on there.

Had my truck out in the woods. Taking a friends kids snipe huntin and hit a tree with my pass side door caved it in pretty bad. Hoping I can pull it out looks terrible. I will get some pics of it on here as soon as possible. Thanks for checking in

Just an update, chris has been pretty much just driving the old truck. It was leaking water so with out looking at it I told him to pick up a water pump, well that wasn't the issue replaced both lower radiator hoses and finally got it sealed up. Funds are tight all around so its just transportation for now. We will get to the fun stuff someday.
