Thanks man. Ya it sucked but it's not gonna stop from the small jobs. Gonna get the other lockout put back together and bolted on today. Mite be a good day to let my son get his hands dirty and do some of the wrenching lol.

Driver's side lockout is put back together and on the axle. Unfortunately I can't put the axle back under the truck with my wrist the way it is. Got my son to help me put the lockout on and he did a great job. I'm trying to upload some videos to photobucket. I'll put em up if I can figure it out. Here's a couple pics.
My son putting the cone washers, lock washers and nuts.

Sorry to hear about the wrist. I've been there many times. Especially using a right angle drill making holes for plumbing stacks. When a 3" or 4" bit bites the plywood, it will literally toss you across the floor.

Glad to see you have your son helping. Need to start them young. Looks like he's enjoying himself.

Thanks guys. He did great. My wrist getting tore up was really a blessing in disguise. It was the perfect opportunity to let him get in there and get his hands dirty and FORCE me to be patient with him lol. He put all the nuts and bolts in by himself and torqued them all down by himself. I also tried to explain all the steps were doing and why we were doing them. I know he's only 5 and probably won't remember much of what I told him but u gotta start somewhere.

^^^X2 hope you mend quick! I hate it when that happens. Every time I use my power drill it seems like that happens to me!

Cool that your son helped you out!

Went to the doc today and it's not broke and I get the day off work so that's the good news. She mentioned that she saw arthritis in my wrist so that makes it more inflamed and I'm on a 10 lb weight restriction for 2 weeks. That's the bad news. So the truck is going to be waiting for a bit before I can put the axle back in. Dang. Oh well, could be worse.

Great news on not being broke. Stinks that you have to wait.

However, that gives you the chance to work with your some some more and teach him things.

I know her only 5 but I can reassure you that he will remember what you teaching him. Everything I learned about cars when I was little has stuck with me forever.

My boys are only 3 and they already love helping me in the garage or shop when I work on cars. I even let them use ratchets and screwdrivers to help put stuff back together. I just hope they still want to do it as they get a little older.

Been a crazy busy day fellas. My dad got married at the race track today, then had races afterwards. Won his heat race and got 2nd in the feature. He's pumped and so am I. I skipped the band that was playing after the races cuz my mom is home from out of state and I have my kids this weekend. Well I got home and peeked in the garage at the truck and couldn't resist myself. My wrist is feeling much better so I decided to slap the axle under the truck. Only took about 45 mins by myself. Still need to button up the shocks, brake lines, and tie rods but it's in.
Had to use my crazy engine hoist trick again.

Thanks fellers. I'll post up some pics of dad's hardware from the weekend. He ended up 3rd in points at this particular track this year. So he got 1st in points at 1 track, 3rd at another, and 5th at another one. And he's been letting a close friend of ours drive it at a different track, and he's leading the points. Think we got the car dialed in?? Lol.
