Bad Bronco sitting on 39.5 pulling military trailer full of rocks. The local park is being shut down. In order to combat this there trying to do some stuff to keep it open, one thing is to fill in all stream crossings so as to not disturb water flow.

This flex doesn't blow my mind

one of my club people showed up few hours in and was moving rocks. He ended up bringing a dodge tailgate out.

all I got from my first trip out with her. Pathetic I know. This thing rides way rougher than my cruiser did.

Im new to standards and this was my first time wheeling a standard. Its a learning curve. I miss simplicity of an auto. If I ever do an engine swap you better believe ill go auto. for the street though standards kind of fun.

I learned a few things today and prioritized few things. A new winch receiver is in order so I can hook winch up. I'm thinking trailgear so I can use receiver as tow point.

Something for rear so I have tow points back there as well.

Getting rid of spare tire carrier cause that thing rattling around is horribly annoying.

I need get used to different gearing. The low 4.7 gears are awesome. Actually can be to slow in some circumstances. Way easier to start in low low though, specially if on a hill.

I found a few rust spots. I guess violent shaking made them appear haha.

My hubs came unlocked. Is this a common thing???? I can only think that as I was going through some of the muddy water holes maybe it unlocked them??

Supposedly this thing has lockers but they were not working, at least not how they are supposed too. When going through one water hole back tire was not spinning and should have been, same with front. Next time when im home im rip out third member and give a looksy.

So I need to get used to stick and smoother with it but shell do just fine. I think she did fine actually just not good with stick.

Well im at work for next two weeks then ill be home for a week and few days before i have warrior salute event.

I would like to before then get the 36s mounted. Might need spqcers to fit em with stock wheels.

Get a reinforcement plate and trqilgear reciever on and mount and hook up winch.

Check all fluids make sure everything is tight.

Hook storage box in back so its secure.

Make a platform so i can sleep under stars but off ground.

Put in stainless steel brake line in back and bleed.

Replace stock shackles in front with ome ones.

I can do it if i find motivation.

Ohhhh and get rid of spare tire carrier and come up with some recovery points in rear.

An automatic in these trucks is weak. Takes all day just to get up to speed in one. I was surprised at how gutless these trucks are with an auto. I do understand why some like an automatic when wheeling though.

I would never put an auto behind the 22re. I would only do it if i did an engine swap with something with more power.

Well the guy that I was supposed to buy tires from is not responding. No replies to me and ive been home a week and a half. Oh well.

I havnt touched the runner. I am supposed to be wheeling tmrw but I don't want to drive and hour each way with her. I don't trust her truth be told. I haven't gone through and checked all fluids and stuff and I don't have recovery points and that's important to me. Oh well.

On a side note a local wheeling spot on private land that been open for years and is one of the only spots to wheel in maine has been shut down with no chance of being opened again.

I did buy a dd and tow pig. So once I buy a trailer ill be wheeling without worries. I looked for yota but nothing within my budget or needs came up. 2004 Silverado 2500

Another reason that 4runner has not been worked on is cause my garage is a rats nest. No storage or anything so tools and parts are everywhere.

So today I went and got the wood and started on building shelves and benches. Amazing how much a clean and organized work space makes wrenching much more enjoyable.
Messy....

Ill have it finished or as much as I can with materials I have this weekend. I have quite a few parts to sell and vehicle to part out but makes it hard when im not organized.

Looking good, being organized and having additional space is a good thing, my carport is so disorganized and messy, it's hard for me to get motivated to work on my projects, I'm so distracted by the mess and looking for things all the time, lol. I need to build some shelves too!

I finally took some time to work on my shop. It does make a difference being organized and having shelves makes a huge difference. Even though it takes away from you working on your runner, it will speed things up down the road. Mine got so bad, it took me two 10 hour days to get it to where it is at. It was badddd!!!

I was going to let you know I have a sunroof (thought I remembered you asking) and I was surprised to see it up for sale. What is wrong with your sunroof?

Well here in maine there are very few areas to wheel. One of the biggest and local to me just shutdown. So options are very limited and i have not found myself using it.
