OME Suspension Installed

Finally took the time to install my old man emu shocks and springs.

Couple of 2x12s ended up being much cheaper than a set of extended jack stands.

Truck came with pro com 4" lift. Extremely rough ride. No down travel.

Pretty darn smooth ride. Night and day compared to the old springs and shocks. Bunch of grease fittings and nice new bushings help a little I'm sure.
The ride is very smooth in the front and firm in the rear.
I'm guessing the rear will soften up and level out when I add some weight.

Truck looks great with the new suspension under it. I would definitely find about 250lbs to throw in the bed to help soften up the springs in the mean time.

OME is the best ride for a solid axle truck while keeping it mostly stock

There's something about a solid axle that is just badass! haha

Appreciate it! I'm thinking rear bumper, spare tire and maybe a tent. If that's not enough I'll throw a few bags of sand in the bed.

Totally agree with you on the solid axle cool factor! Glad to hear that also about the old man emu, it seems much better than what I had before.

Hell ya, once you get the bumper, tire, and tent on there take it wheeling and that will really help break those springs in

Do you have plans of converting to High-Steer with an IFS Steering Box?

Truck Looks Great man. You will have to let us know how you like these springs. I really want All Pro's but I just checked these out and they are more affordable than I remembered.

Nice build up! I'm working on a longbed myself and this gives me some good look at the direction i'm taking it.

What was the brand rack that you got to go over the soft topper? been looking for something like that.

I have put a little thought into it but I'll probably hold out for a bigger lift and tires before I so that. I currently use it as a daily driver and the stock steering isn't bad at all. Maybe down the road.

Yeah some longer flexy springs would be nice but I don't have access to a shop or welder so I'm sticking with bolt on parts for now!

I love these springs so far but I have yet to take them off road. Currently replacing a u-joint in my front drive shaft and getting my diffs ready to go.

Cool I'll check your build!
I think it's made by American Truck Cap Racks... Or something like that. They actually sell it on the Softtopper website. Fully adjustable to any size bed. Seems to be very sturdy but it's about 6" too tall. I'll probably shorten the height a little with a hack saw.

New Brakes

Well I knew I needed new pads but it turned into a whole brake job.

Front
2 new calipers
Pads
Bleed

Pulled the old pads and caliper started leaking

Pretty ugly
