1984 Toyota Pickup 4x4

Ive wanted an 84 xtra cab for so long, but I ended up with a regular cab and I love it.

22r with 220K

Got it for $2050

drove it 150 miles home.

Here's some pics. Ill update when I start replacing things and making it look new again.

First tune up this morning (: somebody had autolites in it lol. Next I'm pricing new shocks and getting into the passenger side hub to rebuild it. Then it's tire time. Hope I can find some decent km1s and steelies.

Great looking truck you have and then for it not to be butchered up is a tough find as well. Great job on the find. These trucks just look great going down the road. Looking forward to your build and welcome to Yotatech.

Whoops.

Too much surface rust so I sanded it down and put a quick coat on. This will just have to do until I can get it in paintable shape. You don't have to compliment my Renaissance skills but I would be ok with it if you did.

Buddy has a weber 32 36 for $200. I know for a fact it has only been on his truck for 6 months. His 87 doesn't like the weber so he's getting his aisin rebuilt. I might try it out. Then desmog. My truck is smoking on a cold start but then it stops. Hasn't leaked or burned ANY oil. So I think with a few mods this baby could breathe a lot better.

Swapping my license from Alabama to Georgia so I'm having to wait to register my baby :/ took the hub apart it spins freely but when I install it I can't turn it. Looks like I have to learn a thing to do.

Dads a paint / body genius, so he's going to help me fill in the bed holes with fiberglass.

Found a 3" susp lift from rough country for $285. That would be nice with some 33s and 5:29s
Good grief I need exhaust too. Cmon tax return. I need you.

Finally a day off! Way overdue oil change.

To this (: https://i.imgur.com/QYkKtCO.jpg

Obviously its running way better but the exhaust is still dingy and old. So it farts a lot

Did some donuts. Now I want donuts.

Early Christmas present. Vintage 1984 Toyota keychain.

God I hope this embeds or I will live in shame forever.

You can delete those posts where the photos didn't work. Keeps the page nice and neat.
Here's how to have your pics load and show full-size as folks look at your thread:
On imgur, go to each of the pictures you want to place here and copy the entire [IMG] code, then paste here, one by one.

Rebuilt the passenger hub and lost the snap ring putting it back on the axle.
Searched the yard and couldn't find it. Today I went out and it beside the tire. Whoops.

Me and Adam93 did some traction tests and general buffoonery in the yard.

For having falken sinceras with no tread on wet ground, it did great.
