added a wilwood adjustable rear proportioning valve to replace my lsvp
just a 10mm coupler for now. I need to fine by brake tubing bender and make a proper mount to the frame still, but this will do for the time being.
Fat mat throughout the fron half of the cab, I covered everything from the window line down to the riser for the front seat bracket and roof, planning on finishing this out once i cut a fat hole in my floor for shifters and get my door panels sorted out.
I went ahead and used nut inserts on the firewall to make the glow plug timer and relay block easily removable should the need arise
This is the pin I removed from the gauge cluster that activates the seat belt warning light. The pin that came with the doomsday kit was too small to stay in the cavity, so I ended up cutting the wire a little farther down and splicing the wait to start into this socket.
I was origionally hoping to be able to use the empty bulb space here on the back of the gauge cluster's warning light column, but unfortunately the circuits were not finished.
This is the mess I removed from my wiring harness before reinstalling. The vast majority of which was old emission related stuff, eventually resulting in the complete removal of the ECU.
I grabbed a blue sea systems 4 circuit fuse box to tidy up some hobbled together wiring replacing the fusible link and starter wire. this all mounted nicely on the passanger fender.
the dash installed nicely, I wish I had more resources to replace some of the damaged interior stuff right now, but It's not exactly a priority.
Engine bay prepped to stuff a diesel in it.
its getting tight, but I have brakes, clutch, power steering, most of the wiring, and glow plugs hooked up.
Since it was out anyway.....
way cleaner

Unfortunately I sold my transmission cross member with my L52 a few months back, and of course the one that was attached to the W56 is too narrow. While I look for another first gen truck crossmember, I went ahead and made some mounts for a custom one just in case I am screwed, as well as a plate to shift my trans mount to the rear as far as 7" if need be. Drive lines are going to have to be modified now anyway, so I may as well shift the whole drivetrain back as far as possible to accommodate a radiator. I also decided to cut the threads off my stock Mercedes oil cooler and tap out to install a -10 AN fitting for the oil cooling system. I have a bunch of stuff getting staged, and hopefully installed this weekend, including my EGT setup from the sensor connection.

I ended up having to ditch the stock transmission crossmember idea. I just couldn't make the geometry work with the front driveline, so I used a Total Metal Innovations yoke setup. It bolted up to the rear of the t-case real nice.
I went and used 1/4" seamless mechanical tubing scrounged from work, cut a slot, slid the tube onto the yoke plate and tacked it in place with everything mocked up. TMI provided the frame tube with poly bushings also.
This is as much of my oil system as I could get in a single shot.
My oil cooler is a beast. 3" thick aluminum with a 12v aux fan pushing air down. All all 1/8" 1.5" angle iron, flat expanded mesh face.
All fittings are 5/8" stainless JIC hydraulic fittings, rated for pressures this oil pump could never produce.
Oil thermostat and filter mount.

This is the rear mount for the oil cooler sitting on frame under the drivers rear of the cab. The orange rubber is actually scraps from rock crushing conveyor skirt board. Its pretty soft, but very durable.
this is the front side of the cooler mount. I used a pair of spit collars to grip the transmission crossmember tube. a second piece of orange rubber was used here, but the flash whited it out.
The mounts I used for the oil cooler and thermostat were the old heat shield studs from the 22r exhaust. 4 for the oil filter head and 2 for the thermostat. I'm not concerned about weight because of the rigidity of the hydraulic line used.
I've also shot bedliner on the doors, fenders, and hood to finish assembling the body. Recently I was able to find a ton of new stock replacement stuff for my doors on ebay. I bought new door seals, side view mirrors, inner and outer glass wipes, glass run seals, and door hinges.
I've been messing around with throttle linkage too. This is my final design using the stock throttle cable. The end of the cable was cut off to use a Lokar adapter on the end. I also had to cut and adjust the custom pedal a bit to get everything moving smoothly.
Finally got the last of my interior in as well. I still don't know what to do with the shifter boot since I cant seem to find one that fits the sticks right. I also got a fresh window from Low Cost Auto Glass in Modesto CA while I was in the state.
Late 80's (probably) celica seats. I got 3 of them for 20$ and swapped frames and cushions around until I had as nice a pair as I could make.
