There will be more pics after tomorrow. The insurance company is finally getting around to approving the disco-gram...which means time is short before I go down for awhile. I'm sore as hell right now from just wiring today.

Gonna paint a little tomorrow.

Very nicely done! I'm with Corey on the oven racks - they work for some pieces, but can be a real pain in the ass. I ended up drilling a dozen holes in the top of the oven and put in some hooks so that I have options for hanging parts.

Corey...yup. I have 3 new super duper water separators. Running 50 or so feet of 1/2 copper hung from workshop ceiling...will have a short length of hose to the compressor...then the 50 feet will run to a t...shooting back up to garage...then the other line to the blaster cabinet wall..ill do a run there with a separator there then a coupler or 2 and a ball drain valve at the bottom.

With 50 feet of copper line to condense out the water and the separator, I should have nice dry air for blaster and pc gun.

The range hood will be run to the middle window...which I will replace with some 3/4 marine plywood painted with a good outdoor enamel. It will have 2 dryer vents to the outside. One from range hood...one from spray cabinet.

Dave...good idea on the hooks.

Still stuff to do..but I believe the battle is nearly over.

Almost forgot...this is the upgraded blast gun and pickup tube as well as the in cabinet blow off gun to clean parts of debris before you open door. From TP tools. Huge improvement over harbor freight blast gun.

Dave that is good news about your back fix soon..I know you have been fighting pain for a long time.

Shop toys are causing a state of envy in your fellow Trekker owner. ..

I went with PVC (200PSI rated) instead of the copper , just better pricing for me !
I also added "down pipes" to additionally "trap" moisture .. worked great , but I now have an air drier .. although excess for a home shop , and I'm not a home shop .. this is by far the best purchace for dry air yet , for me .

also .. the less hose you have in your cabinet , the more you'll like it ... there is little room in there as is ...

Update..

Back still jacked up....waiting on date for my Lumbar fusion. Have messed with the trekker a bit. Got the weber all installed. I hop in...pump gas twice..and she fires right up every time. Warms up...idles down. Runs like a top. Getting a couple tires swapped over to rims for the front. She will have 4 round tires on her soon and I will run her up and down the street. She will drive more in the next couple days than she has in 15 years.

No one ever seems to buy thing...so I am gonna keep piddling with it...I will either get it done or just keep raising the price...lol.

Need to change fluids in trans. transfer case. front and rear diffs. and another oil change.

I need a header or a new downpipe and exhaust for this beast too. Was thinking a pacesetter and some cheap exhaust for temporary purposes so I can quiet it down.

Oh and have completed a few small powder coating jobs. So I am all fired up to sand blast and powder coat now. Bad part is...everyday I try and do any serious work...I pay for it with days of pain. Like having fruit just out of my reach....and starving.

Yea, we caught you flopping on the sale of the Trekker!!! I would a oid those Pacesetter headers. I had some before and they sucked! They leaked, they didn't bolt up well and the coating doesn't last on them. Honestly, the Stainless Rock Ripper headers are the best bang for your buck. I got mine on sale for $320 shipped-definitelt worth the extra $140 or so.

There's all kinds of pain involved with these damn trucks. I've experienced financial pain (and I haven't received Corey's bill yet! LOL), physical pain (several stitches, a broken toe, busted knuckles and some bruises) and emotional pain (sometimes I wonder if my truck loves me as much as I love it...), but I can't imagine adding a bum back like yours to the situation. I have a torn labrum and hook acromion (A shoulder impingement that puts pressure on my bursa) that I need to go under the knife to have fixed. I gave up playing and coaching baseball for at least this season and have put off the surgery until I get my truck and this renovation for my brother done since I would be out of commission for at least 4-6 months. Some days are worse than others but for the most part there is constant pain. You never really know how much you use a particular body part until it doesn't work properly - I'm sure your back can vouch for this. Hang in there pal!

Took all my strength today, but I got front tires mounted on the trekker today. Cleared a pile of junk in the garage out of the way. Fired up the trekker. Put her in reverse....and drove her up and down my street a couple times.

She has moved inder her own power. And rolled much smoother than 20 something year old flat arse split open garbage tires....lol.

Going to do shifter bushings next and see what I can do about changing all the fluids out of the trans/transfer case...diffs etc. Probably have to have a buddy help to get under it. Want to cut all the old exhaust off as well.

Baby steps. Waiting on this surgery approval is terrible waiting game with ins company.

Like to be able to sneak her about 1/2 mile down the road to a spray carwash soon too.

I have to be in St. Louis the 11-13th of April. I can come up a day early on the 10th and can help with some of the heavy lifting and things if you like. We could get a whole day on it and see what kind of a difference we could make on it.

If you still have your old tranny out of your 87, I could show you this fix. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post52177328 It is easyyyy, I am working on getting the bearing back on. If you have a press, we could save that tranny for you.

Excited! And wishing the best for you regarding the back. I've been dealing with that of in terrible pain since I was 21. 24 years, it's hard to believe that I have held out that long... Lol. I guess my plan of ignoring 4-6mm herniated discs instead of surgery has paid off for me to some degree... It's definitely tolerable, but it is often quite debilitating. So sorry you're dealing with that pain, man, and the wait as well!

Managed to do a little to the trekker. Been blasting the wiper arms in preparation to powder coat them. Just piddling. Been hitting spots with rust convertor.

Weather should be pretty decent here this week, so I should make some progress this week.

I have decided to stop with the sale ads and totally commit.

I am thinking of doing as much as I can while still keeping it movable for now.
I may even temporarily rivet some floor patches in.

Plan is still total frame off. But since I am gimped right now....I am pretty limited on what I can do....so little projects.

When all this back stuff and insurance stuff gets worked out...I will go full bore. I still plan on dumping around 15k into her.

Ordered the shifter seat bushing for the trekker so I can tighten up the shifter seat a bit. Really loose.
