Good to hear, and it doesn't matter if you wait a while before the frame off, the little things you do now are things you won't have to do later, and at least you can still drive her and hear her run in the mean time, wich is good motivation. We need more pics!

No not yet. I need to. Technically...I am in the west territory now on your site? Lemme know in a pm who I should get it from. I need to talk to you about rear hatch hardware as well soon.

Otherwise....been sandblasting little parts and powder coating them as my back allows.

I have some bad news on the medical front. My s1 disc is irritating my bladder which is pretty serious. In the process of eliminating other things....I was forced into a prostate exam. I prepared myself for the inevitable probing by some random old Dr. I was utterly stunned when the Dr. turned out to be a younger woman. I was speechless as she ordered me about and molested me.
Thought you all might get a kick out of that.

Mightymouse tracked me down a trans shifter for the trekker...while replacing the shift bushing...i found my shifter was pretty clapped out...and a retaining cup deal was half gone. So I should get that tomorrow.

Otherwise...living vicariously through you guys projects and trying to take it easy so I dont end up doing more damage.

If I seem grumpy in posts I apologize..just been in pain and trapped at home. So I get a lil snappy sometimes. Dont mean it.

HighLux, it's awesome you're still out sanding and powdercoating when you can. Never back down! You're right, I DID get a kick out of your prostate exam story. My dad had his first a few weeks back and his mentality was much the same until he saw his younger female doctor. Haha! Can't wait until this thread gets to rolling on.

Thanks guys! I wish my back was better too...I have 2 new welders sitting out in the garage I haven't even got to even set up yet. All kinds of tools and stuff to work with...but not the back to do it yet. It does suck...knowing what I could be doing out there.

Being in limbo waiting for the surgery is driving me crazy. Thats why I sneak out and try and do stuff when my wife is distracted. She is not too hip on me trying to do stuff in the garage while Im gimped up.

Ill try and get some pictures up today to keep the entertainment value on the thread up....lol.

Getting old is humbling. Dr. what is that rubber glove for? Hey!?!?

I got my butt worked off this past weekend and it took me til Wednesday to get all of the aches and pains out. Your powder coating is a nice setup and turned out great.

I have on the way the elusive rare almost extinct Chrome round eye grill. Pretty excited. May have found a good parts truck not too far away as well. Cross your fingers.

Have some powder showing up tomorrow so I can get back to the powder coating. Also been cleaning up and preparing a few nice parts for sale here soon. Mostly interior stuff. Should have a thread up tomorrow.

If Im moving around good enough tomorrow...Ill powder coat something and take lots of pictures.

Been chipping away at cleaning up my disaster garage. I need me a couple young kids to boss around that I let use my tools and stuff. Any kids with a toyota in my area...you can use my tools for some slave labor!!

I have a few 79-83 pieces...non sr5 steering wheel horn pad...glovebox door..non tilt colunm cover...ash tray..gauge bezel...

Some 84-89 Interior stuff...left side dash...lower dash..glovebox...vents...

Ill pop pics up tomorrow. Several various shift nobs. I need to get rid of some junk to make room.

Talked to guy re parts this eve....he is taking some pics for me. He has a good hood and some wing window doors...as well as some other stuff. The cab has had floors patched previosly...so no dice there. But parts is parts. I love wing windows. Ill have to make a little trip to get that stuff...but at least I can look the truck over so I can spend some more money too!

Got some seats from the mightymouse today. And he has a floor located. Good news. Managed to play with the weber a bit today on the trekker. Just to get her warmed up and juices flowing. I need to do the whole de-smog deal. Thanks to pumkin and kawasakis threads...thats gonna be easy.

Hard to get into any projects on the trekker with fusion looming. I am supposed to get a surgery date here pretty soon.

Thanks again Aaron. Cant say enough good stuff bout you man. I imagine before its done you will have delivered an entire truck to me piece by piece.

Sweet vid! I don't even remember what driving mine feels like, last time was september 2012, but next time should be in 1 month and a half, if all goes well. When you are in low-range, and you put it in reverse, do your shifters interfere? That's one thing I remember from mine, if I was in low range and put it in reverse, the shifter would hit the low range stick back to neutral. I also remember it being very slow, noisy, flimsy, smokey, shaky, imprecise, but it had presonality

He said it didnt feel safe....pft...who needs seatbelts...your eat bolted to the floor...or even a floorboard for that matter.

Catn wait to get the floors done and behind me. What a terrible obstacle to have to overcome. LOL. Dang rusty old toyotas.

Hold on...

Another friend dropped by out of the blue Monday on his way to work. He works at an aircraft part place that makes stuff from titanium. I showed him my powder coat set up and him being a Mustang guy was pretty excited.

I had showed him the tp tools blast gun I upgraded my harbor freight cabinet with and the tips I use. I told him I need to order more tips becaue the ones I have wear out pretty quick with the 70 grit aluminum oxide I have in the cabinet. He says they blast a lot at work and the tips look to be the same size.

Next day he pops by again. Has a handful of titanium tips for me...and a blast gun they had extra. This gun has the tips on the inside...just like this gun...

This will be for my outside blasting of large parts ie: frame cab.

Now I need to figure out what I need as far as a pickup tube If I am just drawing sand from a bucket. Kawasaki...your ears burning?

Yep, they be burning... And they don't like hearing that your going to try to attempt to blast your frame with a siphon gun. Trust me, you don't want to go down that road - been there, tried that, never again! The cheap 20 or 40 lb pressurized blasters from HF are the way to go. Just slap a deadman valve on it to get rid of the cheap ball valve they use for a nozzle and you're good to go.

Scope them out on HF and you'll get a better idea. The media goes into a tank (kinda looks like a propane cylinder) and the air inlet goes to the tank and around the tank to a valve at the bottom of the tank where the media is despersed into the flow of air to the nozzle. The design uses gravity and pressure to inject media into the air stream that goes to the nozzle and out on to the part being stripped. So instead of esssentially creating a vacuum like a siphon setup to suck up media, you are getting a constant flow of air with a volume of media that can be controlled with a valve. Here's my 20 lb blaster:
