Well, if he ends up not wanting them, I'd be interested in buying them. I liked them a lot when you had them in your truck.

The seats I had in it are mismatched, the drivers side is a Recaro police model I got from a friend about 20 years ago. And the passengers seat was out of a Ford ranger.

The other seats I had to go in it came from, CSE offroad..
13405.15 Rugged Ridge - Front Sport Seat - BLACK DENIM - 1955-02 CJ & Wrangler
They're on sale now.... It is a nice looking seat and is comfortable (sitting on the floor anyway)... But they don't fold forward..

Glad your ok! That buck did some good damage too. I will have to check my insurance to see if I have rental car coverage...

That doesn't look all that bad considering what it could have done. I assume it is still driveable? I used to have State Farm too, they SUCKED!! I've never had a worse insurer

Thanks guys, I haven't heard from the adjuster, maybe Monday... I am trying to upgrade to a ARB bumper for it..

That was the second deer I hit with the truck. The first one was a small doe that tripped just as I hit her. That one only put a few cracks in the bumper.

Since I have lived here I have had at least a half dozen kills (all with vehicles)..

On a better not, I got the cage painted in the woods truck and hopefully the seats will come in before my next off stretch.. I would like to get her back on the road soon. Right now I am using my Dads dually and at over $100.00 to fill it up, hurts.

Just catching up here dood. Wow...I had that same experience in my Chevy about 4 years ago. Ended up being 5K in repairs. Had to nearly replace the whole front cap. I smacked her at about 60 and she was jumping out of some bushes, airborne. Feet never hit the road till she died. Crazy.
I don't get why we have restrictions on deer hunting. It's not like this many deer are beneficial. They're completely overpopulated and dangerous. We had 1 young man killed last year when one jumped into the front windshield of the car he was driving. Really sad.
But, they are beneficial to the local auto body repair shops.
Glad you're ok man.

When I was a deputy, I couldn't tell you the number of reports I did for deer.. Around here its not if you will hit one, its when you will... Heck I have had 3 near misses since... Had a real nice 6 point run in front of me this morning..

I rode by the body shop Sunday afternoon and my truck is still sitting in the same spot...UGH..

Anywhooooo.. I got the woods truck back together for the time being (until I figure out what I wanna do next).. Some pics of the cage, seats, and other little things I did over the past few days off.

I really wanted to keep my spot light, a life long friend gave it to me some 20 years ago.

I also have a habit of hitting my head, so..........NOGGIN PADS

The seat mounts for the front, I have pins in the back, so if needed, I can fold the seats forward. The original seat mounts were a little rusty and there were cracks in the floor.

Taped off and primed.. with super duper $$$$ primer..

I used Raptor liner, 3 bottles, I think it came out pretty good... If you ever decide to do this, make sure you specify BLACK... I was sent the tintable. Fortunately the lady at Lowes saved the day and tinted it for me. FER FREE.

Some cheepo things I did while installing the cage.

When I got the seats in, there was not enough room between them for the lockbox/cupholder combo I had before. So I had to come up with something else.. 3 inch PVC couplers (CHEEP)....Painted with Rustoleum Hammered Black

2 self tapping screws and whalllaaaa...Cup holders, well water bottles any how.

One other little problem I had, all the rubber drain plugs were hardened up and brittle.. So I had these little plastic things that held the flap disc I used to the cardboard they came on.. Also from Lowes

They screw together nice and tight and are easy to remove to clean out the floors..

Another thing that has been bothering me is how easy (and how many) it is to steal one of these trucks.. See it all the time on here, Pirate and Marlins forum... so I came up with a CHEAP, EASY, and SIMPLE way to at least slow down a thief... I HATE THIEVES...

I took a piece of left over square tubing, (just happened to be the right length) and welded a left over seatbelt hold down to it.. Then painted it with, you guessed it, Rustoleum Hammered Black...

I just slide the tube over the T-case lever and pad lock the transmission shifter to it... and PRESTO the levers are locked together.

I haven't done much on the Yota lately. I did buy some transmission fluid to change out the power steering fluid, and some brake fluid cause it is low...

I also traded off the Tacoma, I stepped over to the dark side.......

Lol I thought it was funny.

No judgment from on the jeep. I wouldn't mine having a old Cherokee myself. Or on of those Comanche trucks.
