Okay I admit it, that was lazy of me.....lol
Got a little bit done this weekend (Wed & Thurs)
Most importantly AC in the cave..

Then I made a place to hang the doors out of the way..(the full doors will be here most of the time)

I also repainted my old, old 1st Gen Emblem and reinstalled it on the hood.

Got the grill and head light buckets repainted too.. Hopefully I can get everything put back together this weekend (Mon.& Tues.) Then get started on the engine again...

Got a few things done this weekend...
1st I had to make a new screen for my snorkel. My son busted the orginal one..

So I made what I call a Joey proof cover.

Then I lowered the head about for inches..I never liked how tall it was before.

Then I started on the dash...When I first built the truck it had 1 crack and the speaker hole was bad..I fixed that...When I got the truck back, the dash pad was broke in the middle and cracked all over..
First I made a brace on top and under to hold it together.

Then I filled all the cracks with a general purpose filler (3M) from Lowe's.

Primed.

Then painted with Rustoleum Satan Black Hammered..

I picked up a set of wheels of craigslist (5) for $200. They were like new, but I painted them any way..

Then I wieghed out 10oz. of BB's, the Dynabead chart calls for 8oz..I figured the tires were used and could use a little more.

Mounted. the Gumbo's are a lot bigger than the LTB's I had on the truck when I built it the first time..

And on the truck....4 really good used tires 5 wheels mounted and balanced for $406.75..Happy fathers day to me...lol

Thanks...It is Spruce Green Satin Rustoleum...Rattle can.
I got the snorkel head off Ebay, the rest of it came from Lowes..Black PVC pipe. I orginally made an air box out of a cookie tin, it worked good for a while but cracked from vibration..I built a new box out of a waterproof electrical box...I will get a pic in the next day or 2.
I connected the pipe to the air box with RV sewage tube...
The snorkel is held to the truck with some flat metal straps and the hose clamps..

Here is a picture of the airbox as promised...

I traced the base of the Weber filter in the bottom of the box & cut it out. I mount the box on the carb, then mount the filter inside. I will take a picture when I install it next week....
And just for kicks........

To balance the tires...As you get rolling the BB's go to the low spot...Balances the tire from the inside..

Got a lot of little things done this weekend, took the truck on a couple shake down runs...So far so good..Love driving it opened up.
A shot of the ass end....I think it looks pretty cool..

Got the bed organized, still need to get a shovel & axe mounted.

A couple of outside (finally) shots...

And I got to clean the cave.....

Got a few things done this weekend......
I actually have room in the cave for 2 of the trucks...

I also made a lockable console / cup holder...

And I finished up the interior, with working seatbelts....

I also mounted the rail for the bikini top......Hopefully I can get the top & doors finished the next time I'm off....It sucks hopping in a wet seat.....lol
