Sweet. Youll get a some extra horses there. Are you doing anything with the cam or keeping it close to stock?

Keeping it near stock at this time. Not much budget to do anything different and what I have is in good shape.

Just curious. I always thought the stock cam had a smooth power band but I dont have huge tires on any of my trucks.

I just got a 22re rebuilt last winters. Its still got a little Toyota valve tick but once its warm, you can stand next to the truck while its running and not hear anything. It feels kind of wrong but its got some pep and Ive been enjoying driving it recently.

LC Engineering, 22RE Performance, Yotashop, local dealership, Napa. I've been trying to get OEM for most parts....seals, bearings, sensors. I don't really have any allegiance to one vendor, I just like stuff to be in stock and good customer service. If there is something you see in particular ask away, I'll post a link.

I was curious because I never heard of that brand of the bearings. I might ask you in a year or 2 when I rebuild my 20r.

Taiho is manufactured in Japan. Supposedly OEM.

Set the rings and installed one of the pistons today to check height clearance. Does not appear to be an issue thus far.

Oil pickup and pan, oil pump, valve springs and smoked ribs today!

Installing an oil pan on the stand is the only way to go.

Camshaft installed, various other parts, transmission to block braces (previously missing), engine mounts, alternator, water pump and crank pulley.

Decided to replace the rocker shafts, so head will have to wait until the parts come in.

The parts pile is getting smaller!

Rebuilt the rocker assembly (new shafts and adjusting screws), installed cometic head gasket, installed head, adjusted valves, installed distributor, mounted fuel pump and got the intake bolted up.
