This will be a slow build. I got the truck off my Father. The truck was sold for 3yrs to my Dads friend. My Father got the truck back and that's the story how I got it.

paint job just flat green it for now because a porous primer was used on it

needs dash that's not cracked and holy lol
new front clip since on it now bent
go throw the interior

 

Cut the fenders and stared the green so the rust wont be a problem. Also put the big mirror doors on today.

 

cool project. I test drove a custom cab in 1986, long freaking wheel base and wide turning circle but cool trucks

 

This is my second custom cab and they are long lol but I love them for the family to hunt out of and never seen a 83 in person or a 79-83 so I had to have it and restore and daily dive since I got the truck getting 18-20 mpg

 

Having gas gauge problem's. When the truck off the gauge is down like it needs be but ounces on it pegs all the way full. I checked the wiring seems fine. any help would be nice.

 

I had gas gauge issues with my 82 yota. I ended up dropping the tank and it just had a point where the float stuck. It fixed it by just messing with it.

 

well my gas problem was wiring all messed up. I also really need a heater core but cant seem to find one.
Sorry I haven't posted its hunting season and well truck will be getting worked on once I am done hunting lol but truck has been good luck with a cow elk and a deer in the back every time I drive it to the woods I get meat.

Wiring can be a pain. My 81 had some bad stuff, still does
I have been lucky so far on my 94, haven't found anything really bad yet..

 

Finish the paint tell I can get cash for a real paint job. Just spray paint for now.
